At the state championship tourney today the response was meh. Glad he was taken out, pissed that he took credit for it (too many I’s) and super pissed that he won’t take credit for the economic/jobs/and gas issue wrt drilling. Man up was the comment from the bus driver from Camden county who drove a school bus for 6 kids and 2 coaches from just north of the Florida border to just south of Athens… imagine the cost that trip’s gas cost that county to field a team and imagine how many school bus drivers could be hired with the price back in the low $1 range… he was not amused.
While I welcome the inclusion of Osama bin Laden to the circle of life in the Arabian Sea and willing to give Barack Obama some credit for that happening (check out the hagfish doing their thing), it does not change the fact that most of Barack Obama’s policies suck (kinda like a hag fish).
And that the success in bringing down Osama bin Laden was due to Barack Obama following the precidence of George W. Bush, not the nonsense advice of Eric Holder, Andrew Sullivan and Glenn Greenwald about turning the war on terror into a police action. We are at war. It is perfectly okay to go kill the enemy.
Well that’s just great, apparently I find myself somewhat in agreement with Cindy freakin’ Sheehan, albeit for different reasons:
When every other word out of this administration is a damnable lie (including “the” and “and”), I’d like to see some photo evidence and/or helmet-cam video, or something more than Barry’s say-so. Particularly after that laughably staged “spontaneous celebration” in front of the WH last night.

now that we have this moment of unity, they need to find the unity we had after 9/11 to help solve the current problems of this country. That the killing of Bin Laden shows what we can do when we work together. So let’s use this new unity to get things done!

If Obama ever brings up him getting OBL in a debate, the Republican should say, Yes, you got OBL, but you used every Republican policy to do it, and rejected your own policies you espoused every time you had to make a real world decision.
If your going to execute Republican policy decisions – shouldn’t we just have a Republican in the oval office?

I do not understand why they did not have a viewing of the body with a select group of verifiers, along with some coroners. Cremation eventaully and scattering him out in the ocean would have been fine (it worked for Nazi war criminals the Israeli’s got). Still, I can’t imagine they would not have retained some decent DNA samples, teeth molds, and photographs. But if the computers turn out as good as they think they might, well that is proof too.

My Parents were down from Alberta over Easter weekend, got home last Wednesday. Thursday it snowed all day, my dad had to plow a drift out of his driveway. It’s cold. Cold and wet. I guess the tax revenues from the last month were actually higher than expected, and the debt ceiling crisis has been given an extension – did anybody else hear that?
So if the fed is flush with some cash, they can pay my gasoline bill – it’s topping $600 a month now.
