"Bin Laden's Death Climaxes Decade of Detective Work"

The intelligence that led to bin Laden’s death came from Club Gitmo. Is all we need say to the “progressives” pretending toward triumphalism today.

Or better still, just kinda smile and thank them for giving us President Obama, the military genius who began his campaign to assassinate Osama bin Laden a decade ago while a member of the Illinois State Senate — eventually settling on a plan that made deadly use of special anti-terror hit teams he told his supporters he’d disassemble, having first gleaned the necessary intelligence from captives at a special military prison camp he assured his supporters he’d close, using interrogation methods he said he’d abolish.

Then pat them on the head and give them some loose change for Starbucks.

Expecting the Proggs to believe it is an act of purest optimism.

The targeted killing of a civilian in a foreign country, based upon information gained from extra-judicial detainees held on a military base with allegations of torture.

And the left is ok with it.

    Change indeed.

    Shorter:

There is no habeus in Bin Laden’s corpus.

I’m totally stoked that Obama lied to his supporters. Today, he deserves credit.

  5. Spiny Norman says:

He deserves credit for greenlighting a dangerous mission fraught with significant political risk, something Bill Clinton couldn’t bring himself to do when he had the opportunity.

  6. Carin says:

Spiny, had the mission failed we would have heard zip about it. For Obama it was worth the risk.

  7. Carin says:

Don’t get me wrong. He made the right decision, I just reserve credit to those who earned it.0

HAD to lie to his supporters, in order to get anything done.

    There’s a lesson there someplace.

  9. Ernst Schreiber says:

As long as we’re giving credit where credit’s due, I’m rather enjoying that Obama’s supporters don’t mind being lied to, seeing how truth is a situational construct in Leftloonia.

I thought that’s what the little paper cup marked “TIPS” was for.

I’ve been very gracious with my acquaintances and cow-orkers all day today. When they inevitably gloat about Obama pulling off what Bush never could, I nod and smile and remark at how lucky we are to have a President with such competence when it comes to torturing prisoners and using the illegally-obtained information to kill foreign nationals, all while dealing with the distractions of a third war he started.

So far, none of them seem to care. They’ve been told that “they won,” and that’s good enough.

While I am no fan of Obama getting re-elected, I am thrilled this turned out the way it did and I am still glad he had more balls (perhaps luck) than Jimmy Carter. For the sake of our country.

Even Encyclopedia Brown needed Sally Kimball to apply stress positions and enhanced interrogation techniques once in a while.

  13. Carin says:

This ain’t gonna get Omambi reelected. If only he could have put it off a bit longer.
