"GOP moves to eliminate Fannie, Freddie"

Unfortunately, the GOP also moves not to.

So.

What’s say we call it a day and go get a couple dozen hotwings and a pitcher of Sam Adams?

The next fight for the GOP is always around the corner. Once they turn the corner they become pragmatic again. They’ll keep behaving as if that were true as long as we keep re-electing them.

  2. Joe says:

At least McCain is on the right side of the issue.

Funny how those GOP members opposing getting rid of Fannie and Freddie have ties to the real estate industry. Of course they just want to protect “the people”–specifically those people making money off the current system.

I say we skip the hot wings and go right to the Guinness and Jameson.

Well there are some good things out there.

In a minute. I’m still working on these pancakes.

Screw the Real Estate industry. Re-instate the homestead act – any abandoned site, house, plot of land, you can claim, under certain easy conditions.

Free labour, free land, free men.

  8. Pablo says:

It’s weird when you’re looking a list like that of Republicans that need to be primaried and John McCain isn’t one of them.

  9. Jeff G. says:

There are other issues, Pablo. Thank God.

Can we make that a pitcher of Fat Tire? Made right in your backyard!
