Thursday’s menu features bacon-wrapped gristle brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with bacon slivers, served over a bed of wilted spinach, Roquefort cheese, and thick-cut ham spirals. With a side of steamed cauliflower and two lemon wedges. For dessert: Irvine, California.
…Which to me sounds a bit heavy for a summer day, but hey, who’s the expert here, right?
You know, I was thinking of trying Atkins, but I never realized it went so heavy on the smog and cow manure. I think I’ll pass.
I dunno about how Atkins-friendly Irvine is, Jeff. Isn’t that place full of fruits and nuts?
You might get yourself a frosty scoop of Butter Crisco on top of a fried Prosciutto waffle cone instead. I like mine with crispy lardon sprinkles but suit yerownself.
Sure would like to see a truck full of those cruising through my neighborhood on a hot summer day. Bet the kids would line up.
The expert died of congestive heart failure. (which as sad as it is that he died, and I do feel for his family) is not exactly IRONIC.
You’ve got to watch out for that cauliflower. But if you used a bit of lard as lubrication, it might go down easier.
Uh… that second sentence could apply to so many situations….
Wrap the gristle in bacon! Of course!
Jeff, thank you. Thank you.
Try San Francisco for desert in the near future. You’ll enjoy the drugs. Maybe get a free sex change while you’re at it.
My English not so good but thank for lovely site with information I looking for and need also.
Got here and seen your stuff – way to go!
