The Supreme Council of Egyptian Armed Forces reportedly met Feb 10 to work out the details of the political transition. Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi reportedly chaired that meeting of 10-15 senior military officers. Mubarak was notably absent, as was Shafiq (PM). Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen Sami Annan would have likely been present at such a meeting, but an Al Arabiya report said Annan has traveled with Mubarak to Mubarak’s Sharm el-Sheikh resort. Annan could be escorting him to ensure he stays under the army’s control.
Tomorrow’s demonstration is titled: “Day of Confrontation” and its purpose is focused solely on Mubarak’s resignation.
End game negotiation still going down between the old guard – Mubarak, Shafiq, Suleiman and their loyal elite mostly retired military – and the ‘new’ (last ten years) military elite. This can’t go on much longer.
what’s probably happened is he has enough punches on his card to get a free 6-ounce yogurt plus toppings at Cairo Yogurt and by Allah he’s not leaving til he gets his free allahdamned yogurt
…unnamed source…power will be handed to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which consists of Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi, defense minister and commander of the armed forces; Lt. Gen. Sami Annan, military chief of staff; the chief of operations; and the heads of the Egyptian army, navy, air force and air defenses. The source said the transfer of power would occur “outside of the constitutional framework.”…
It’s noted that the Supreme Council meeting held today was only the third such meeting since 1952.
Myrick acceeds, witlessly, to Clapper’s statements as he makes them. She shows no difference with him that I can see, saying “right” “right” after each of Clapper’s assertions.
The weather in Sharm el Sheikh is nice this time of year.
That Mubarak, such a tease! I’m feeling like Julian Assange over here.
Signs of struggle.
I’ll believe it when I see it…
I guess the negotiations weren’t concluded last night after all.
C’mon folks, Hillary has to have this all under
control, er, has the reset button handy? Is Mubarak fucking with Obama? That imp!
“Isn’t there ANYBODY who can tell me what the FUCK is going on?”
“No. Welcome to the real world.”
From an intel source I subscribe to:

Rumor has it that in response to reports of his impending resignation, Mubarak said, “Tut-tut.”
Time to peer amid the lines.

That’s how I would be.
Sure sounds like he’s leaving, by the noises I’m hearing on the radio news break.
What the…
Incompetence simply can not explain this. Too big. Too baffling. I have to think this is the order from above.
This just in:
It’s noted that the Supreme Council meeting held today was only the third such meeting since 1952.
Radosh on MB apologists. We can add Clapper to the bunch. He should be forced out of office immediately.
Radosh follows up at the Tatler.
Can I assume that was sworn testimony?
Clapper should have been fired when he didn’t know about the big British terrorist round-up, whenever that was.
Stratfor is reporting that Mubarak has already left the country, and that his speech was pre-recorded ( http://tiny.cc/botem )
The testimony on video. Not sworn that I can see.
Myrick’s questioning begins at 1:22:00 in.
Thanks, sdferr.

Is there such a thing? Perhaps the swearing happens off camera?
