“Obama Resubmits Berwick Nomination to Senate for Medicare Post”

Civility! Comity! Working together!

— If the end result we’re working together toward is socialized medicine, that is. Which, if you think about it, is nothing more than an “investment” in our bureaucracies, stimulating their growth.

What, did you misunderstand the President’s message last evening?

  3. Bob Reed says:

How does he think that he’ll pull this off when the Senate, with more Dems, wouldn’t approve him last time?

  4. cranky-d says:

Every time he opens his mouth, the message is the same: “Fuck you, conservatives, I won.”

  5. McGehee says:

Increasingly it’s more like, “Fuck you, EVERYBODY — I didn’t lose last November, Pelosi did.”

  6. newrouter says:

this is good because barry soetoro is doubling down on stupid

  7. proudvastrightwingconspirator says:

My Dad always told me; “Don’t believe what they say, watch what they do.”
Obama has zero interest in “moving to the center”, he’s just shining us.

  9. newrouter says:

Where there are no real market transactions, there are no real prices. Where there are no real prices, there is not much real knowledge about actual economic conditions. In the United States, we have an education system that already is socialized to a greater extent than Lenin managed for Soviet agriculture. We have a health-care system that is well more than half socialized. We have a mortgage market that is largely socialized. Not surprisingly, our schools, our health-care system, and our mortgage market are the three most prominent failures of major institutions in recent memory. That is not the fault of Barack Obama and his hidden socialism. That is the fault of longstanding American economic policy and its unhidden socialism. If you are worried about socialism, start at the schoolhouse, not the White House.

One of my favorite quotes puts it:

“Talk’s cheap The price of action is colossal”

  13. sorta related… I keep hearing about John Bolton considering a run for President. We could not handle, nor be worthy of such awesomeness.

  14. Spiny Norman says:

    Regis as First Mustache?

    =^D

  15. cranky-d says:

Bolton’s purpose, as far as I can tell from what he’s said, would be to get the ideas out there. I don’t think he thinks he can win, but he thinks he can get people talking about important stuff.

  16. SteveG says:

This shows Obama talking with forked tongue… appointing far left academics from ivory towers who want to take apart our country.
The President spent too much time in the lecture hall at Harvard… and he wasn’t able to process the information given as opinion and to discern that maybe what this so called brilliant academic was teaching was dead fucking wrong.
So our most intellectual, intelligent President ever is a tool.
    A tool.
Unable to formulate a critical thought of his own he regurgitates leftist truisms and recycles diseased reasoning and poisoned logic.
    Geez.
Where is Gerald Ford when you need him… or is Joe Biden the left’s Gerald Ford?

    Simple Bob,

Harry Reid will refuse to bring him up for a vote because he knows that he doesn’t have the votes. Obama will then apply another recess appointment justifying it by claiming Republican stalling tactics.

    It’s worked before.

  18. Bob Reed says:

Great point Danger, it sounds like you’re inside his OODA loop for sure.

So that means McConnell should probably head-fake, make statements to make it sound like they’d approve him, so that Reid brings it to the floor and it goes down in flames…

Of course, the Obami are probably anticipating this too, and have instructed that under no circumstances will it go to the floor for a vote.

  19. geoffb says:

Don’t recess. It takes two to do that tango.

  20. Danger says:

    Thanks Bob,

But It’s not too dificult to get inside this guys head. He doesn’t have a plan B, he merely doubles down on plan A and projects his shortcomings on his opponents. Who else thinks he could get away with inflamatory rhetoric followed by preaching for civility.

  21. Bob Reed says:

I must be getting soft Danger, I mistook the Obami as being, by and large, worthy opponents :)

    “the darkness of private enterprise”

Now there’s a quote that reveals his evil heart.

You racists don’t even try to hide it anymore! Denounced!
