Somebody out in blogland sent me the following note, which I found a little strange:

That’s the Way the Blogosphere Judicates: So Tony has got this new proposal. Seems that Tony is No. 20 when you do a Google search for “Tony,” and if enough people link to Tony to get him to be the No. 1 Tony by July 9, he (Tony, that is) won’t pull the plug on the blog (Tony’s). Doable! I mean, criminy! Y’know Treacher’s little Jell-O judicates experiment thing? Google “Jell-O.” Whaddaya see? Yep! No. 17! In five days! And it’s not just No. 1 for “judicates,” it’s also Nos. 2-18! Seems to me we can put our good pal Tony in the top Tony spot in no time. Let’s work the problem, people!

Um, no offense, mystery emailer…but say what? Who is “Tony“? And why should I care what he does with his blog? Tony, that is.

As I say, I couldn’t make out the signature on the email, so if anyone knows who sent it (or why) — or if anyone knows who this Tony is — please let me know. Just because I’m curious.
