The Headline Says It All [Dan Collins]

CIA chief believes Cheney almost wants U.S. attacked

And I think that the CIA Chief must be almost out of his effing gourd.

  1. Rob Crawford says:

So a political hack, interviewed in a political hack magazine, made a comment that feeds to the hatreds and bigotries of his political party.

The only news is that Penetta hasn’t choked to death on Obama’s pubes.

  2. TmjUtah says:

    CIA Director Leon Panetta.

    Hmmmm.

Anybody else get a teeny, off vibe from that…?

  3. Rob Crawford says:

We got off lucky — coulda been Sandy Burglar.

  4. Abe Froman says:

Lefties love to project their own vileness onto others.

  5. The only news is that Penetta hasn’t choked to death on Obama’s pubes

Oh, don’t worry about that. He doesn’t have the deep throat technique to get close enough to the pubes.

  6. ccoffer says:

I say we kidnap and waterboard that motherfucker.

  7. Bender Bending Rodriguez says:

2004: Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.
2009: Dissent means you secretly hope for a terrorist attack on the US.

Hmmmm, something changed in the interim there. Just can’t put my finger on what it was. Hmmmmmm…

  8. Blacque Jacques Shellacque says:

“Hmmmm, something changed in the interim there.”

One thing hasn’t changed – leftists are largely scumbags.

  9. Topsecretk9 says:

I known what you mean, Tops. Six Flags Magic Mountain in Cali has been Gang-Banger Central for years.

Get out of my head. And waiting 2 hours for one ride is cool.

  10. Joe says:

Lefties love to project their own vileness onto others.

Abe, saddly, that is exactly correct.

  11. Jeff Y. says:

I didn’t know ass-hats were standard issue at Lanagley. What the hell is up with the CIA. It leaks like a sieve. It fought a Cold War with the Bush administration. Now it’s accusing former administration officials of “almost sounding” like treason.

I mean, when your intelligence services can’t keep secrets and become overtly partisan…why even have one? Cant’ we just use DIA?

  12. N. O'Brain says:

“Panetta called Cheney’s actions “dangerous politics.””

As opposed to dangerous reality, I guess.

  13. joey buzz says:

Team 44 obviously had to nip Cheney in the bud as he was coming across as being a good American by defending the agency against Pelosi’s slander. This is what Richard Fernandez calls the “second channel”.

  14. Bob Reed says:

Panetta must be on medical marijuana or something…

And I’m talkin’ the goooooooood stuff, main!

    He ‘mokin’ da chronic…

  15. Bob Reed says:

So if Cheney criticizes the O!ne? He’s wishing America would be hit by another terrorist attack…

But, radical left wing zealots, such as code pinko, actually wishing for catastrophic results on the battlefield in Iraq: Dissent!, the highest form of Patriotism!

Bender Bending Rodriguez had it right in #7

  16. Log Cabin says:

Well, coming from someone with the vast, VAST experience in intelligence matters like Leon Panetta…

  17. Dana says:

The article in The New Yorker <a href=”http://commonsensepoliticalthought.com/?p=6128″is more interesting to me (Shameless blog plug alert!) for what it does not say. Former Vice President Cheney has gone on record as saying the the “enhanced interrogations” provided useful, actionable information which resulted in foiled terrorist plots and innocent lives being saved. With somewhat less fanfare, the Senate Republicans said a few weeks ago that that was in their recent CIA briefing.

Now we have Director Panetta having, and seizing, the opportunity to criticize Mr Cheney. He said that Mr Cheney was trying to capitalize politically on national security fears, but he did not say that Mr Cheney’s assertion that the interrogations had foiled terrorist plots and saved innocent lives was incorrect.

  18. Dana says:

CCrap! I messed up the hyperlink!

  19. happyfeet says:

See that would be a fascist attempt by our piece of shit president’s intelligence lackey to chill dissent and just cause our CIA is as inept and cowardly and traitorous as Pakistan’s doesn’t mean their very ineptitude and cowardice and hatefulness isn’t scary to a lot of people.

  20. happyfeet says:

Because our stupid scary limpwristed CIA is now targeting a former vice president who is guilty guilty guilty of being a not-dirty socialist. That’s not very America, is it? No. No it’s not.

Wow. What a thirdworldy banana republic shithole our little country under Barack Obama has become and so very very headspinningly fast.

Yeah, when was the last time we had a CIA director openly playing partisan politics?

  22. Neo says:

“I think he smells some blood in the water on the national security issue”

The only issue here is who’s blood is acceptable, the terrorists or Obama’s ?
    Anyone else’s blood is unacceptable.

  23. sdferr says:

when was the last time we had a CIA director openly playing partisan politics?

    Ask Michael Scheuer.

  24. Just saying in public on TV what the left has always said in private with friends. The more they do this, the more the mask comes off. Always useful for truth and moving the country away from these freaks.

  25. steveaz says:

Hey, talking about intelligence agencies in general, if Iran’s finger prints show up anywhere on that Air France jet crash, Sarkozy’s got all the reasons he needs to put the mullahs’ balls in a vice.

It’d be nice to see what the new Mirages can do for a change.

Terrorists of all degrees, including Columbia School of Journalism’s, need to be taught that so-called “Plausible deniability” can cut both ways.

  26. Mikey NTH says:

If attacks are not being directed at his agency by another branch of government, then Mr. Panetta will attack those of other political parties; he will be loyal. If attacks are directed at his agency by Congress (a different branch of government, no matter the political party) then he will defend his agency.

Not surprising that the Democrats would cool their attacks on the CIA to isolate, and then go after, Cheney. Once he is shut down, then they will return to their attacks on the CIA.

  27. Neo says:

al Qaeda supposedly almost got Jimmy Carter .. seems he was save by the Israelis
Did the CIA miss this ? .. almost like the head of the CIA wanted him dead. Why ?
