Rescued Hostages Unload on FARC [Dan Collins]

The story’s over at Power Line. Nothing particularly romantic about them, I guess.

You may recall that at the time of the raid, Chavez stentoriously denied that any information on the computers pertaining to him would be valid, and that it was a set-up. Later, Interpol verified that none of the files had been altered, but that didn’t stop the ridiculous fulmination at the site for “Global Research,” based in Canada.*

Nancy’s got some ‘splainin’ to do.

*Global Research Associate Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago and can be reached at lendmanstephen@sbcglobal.net.

He and others in the dominant media never miss a chance to misreport on Venezuela and attack its model democracy.

You know, the kind of model democracy that supports a civilian-imprisoning narcoterrorist insurgency in its neighbor’s territory.

Who is she going to have to explain to? She is probably the most safe Dem district in the nation. What are people that don’t like this going to do vote for Cindy Sheehan?

  2. Neo says:

“The news that three Americans and their fellow captives held by Colombian rebels have been freed is the answer to the hopes and prayers of so many [but not mine]. That the rescue operation succeeded without loss of life [of any of my FARC friends] is an additional reason to give thanks. Americans [not including me] share in the gratitude that the families and loved ones of the freed hostages feel today as they will be able to celebrate their freedom this Independence Day weekend [while I get on the phone with Jim McGovern to remap my foreign policy].” — Nanci Pelosi 2-July-2008

  3. Dan Collins says:

Proggy, she owes an explanation to the hostages, I would think.

  4. ProggHero says:

Besides Dems are in the majority right now that is why there is no investigations into Fienstien, Reid, or Pelosi but about 200000 on bush. Nothing to see here move along noone cares.

  5. ProggHero says:

Do you ever think they are going to get an explanation Dan?

The Dems rally around their own no matter what, right PH?

  7. Dan Collins says:

I intend to see that they get an explanation, Proggy.

  8. Dan Collins says:

And before you start getting all snotty about it, please recall that dumbasses such as yourself, who don’t give a rat’s ass about the truth or justice (which are kind of inextricably tied), told me that the Rev. Wright thing wouldn’t have any legs.

    Bite me.

  9. The Ghost of Josef Stalin says:

Just don’t count on the media to ask for any explanations, or for that matter, Republican politicians either. If this is going to be driven bloggers are going to drive it. Sort of like Mary Mapes, Jamil Hussein and Jeremiah Wright. It can be done. Should be done. But none of the self appointed “guardians” of democracy are going to be willing to do it.

The msm will provide cover for “Stretch” Pelosi. The commies who send her to congress could care less about her FARC blowjobs.

  11. The Ghost of Josef Stalin says:

Just the MSM? How many people have the NRO thrown at this or any of the other conservative mags? Is it too costly to call Pelosi’s office ask for a comment then report that comment or lack thereof? Just asking…

  12. Dale says:

BTW, I went to the Global Research link, Dan. Thanks, now I have to go wash the stupid off before it sinks into my brain.

Waitaminute! Progg just started sounding like a normal person!

In all honesty: were all those other posts really just satire? Because they were absolutely dead-on, deadpan, is-he-or-isn’t-he mockery.

  14. SarahW says:

From the State Department commenter quoted at Powerline:
“Perhaps the Logan Act deserves updating to include collusion with transnational terrorist groups.”

Is there any other “act” that would cover such collusion? But updating Logan seems necessary.

Even a broken clock is correct twice a day…

Trimegistus: “In all honesty: were all those other posts really just satire? ”

Satire requires a level of applied intellect and effort that Proggie doesn’t seem to have. His posts do not rise to that level — Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” was satire. Proggie is, at best, crude slapstick.
