I denounce myself for having missed this tidbit from Barck Obama’s address to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee:
Obama, who has been criticized for sometimes not wearing an American-flag pin, wore a pin of both Old Glory and the Star of David on his lapel. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who also addressed the Washington convention, did not.
Good thing the folks at MyBO missed this also, as they generally seem to not be fans of AIPAC or Obama’s appearance there. After all, it was just a few short months ago that Obama declared:
My attitude is that I’m less concerned about what you’re wearing on your lapel than what’s in your heart.
It is getting harder to distinguish between change we can believe in and dressing for success.
Oy!
Did he promise to only serve Kosher food in the White House?
Well, that fellers got some strongly held convictions, doesn’t he?
I see our little friend (a-foton) got over it’s Ed Brill fascination.
Your flag lapel pin won’t get you into the White House anymore?
Is it true that in the dictionary, next to the word pander, there’s a picture of Obama?
Why the Star of David pin? Is it common for non-Jewish politicians to do so? I know this might not mean much on the grand scale of things, but I would not even dream of doing something like that, not being an actual member of that religion. Call me crazy …
– The O! camp, in an effort to keep up with all the changitudiness, have contracted with the STTNG people, to design and build the ObamaPin!, which is supposed to be able to morph instantly into the symbol or logo of which ever group he is speaking to at the moment.
– Insiders say that they are working out a few bugs, (in a recent trial while the Obamamessiah was test speaking in front of a faux group of the Muslim Ladies league the pin suddenly switched to the logo for the Pig Farmers of America club), but hope to have it done by the end of the month.
– ….Turning to sports….
The Obamoonies are a continual disappointment. They’re just too dumbly reactionary to seize on the pin flap as the obvious chance it is to revive the Easy Rider-style sarcastic flag display. I miss Toni Basil.
Mine are the same: bacon grease. Man of principle.
I love Toni Basil. She riminds me of walking down Sunset Blvd in the 80’s with that frickin song blasting out of every store.
JD,
The “Star of David” here refers to Israel’s flag, crossed with “Old Glory”; pic is at the link.
Karl – Thanx. I originally read this from my Palm, and links are notoriously slow. I still think he is a pandering asshat, just not as much as I thought before.
Shiny objects distract people from concentrating on his senseless platitudes. They’re like fishing lures, spinnerbait for moonbats.
Why doesn’t he just get a charm bracelet? He could add flags as needed and satisfy the gay and lesbian lobby at the same time.
Anybody heard from Jeff?
How about a Flava-Flav clock necklace and “time for hope and change” ballcap?
Salt Lick,
Yes, good news on the home page now.
