Mattel — the makers of Barbie — has obtained a court order to prevent the screening of a film showing Barbie as a lesbian. Barbie Gets Sad Too was due to be shown at Mexico City’s Urban-Fest Festival, but Mattel insists the film is “pornographic” and will spoil the doll’s wholesome image.
The Argentine film tells the story of Barbie’s relationship with her Latina servant, the Reforma newspaper reports.
