   I went a googling. Some suspect MEKP, (Meythl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) the stuff used in the 7/7 bombings. One board talked about the ready availability of MEK cleaner which can be used to make it.

   This board talks about MEKP recipes. including those made with PVC primer that has purple dye in it, and how you can find stuff without the purple dye to make it, which means to me that maybe some folks make a purple version.
