Maybe there is still occasional sex with strangers that keeps the species alive.

That bears repeating. Preferably as often as possible.

Why?A fish species, which is all female, has survived for 70,000 years without reproducing sexually…

    Why?

One theory is that the fish may occasionally be taking some of the DNA from the males that trigger reproduction, in order to refresh their gene pool.

This is also how NBA groupies breed.

    Umm. Spam posting above?

It could be worse. These fish don’t engage in lezzie action like those lizards do.

It could be better. In another species of fish, the males literally feed off the females ina parasitical manner.

I think the way we do it is best. Most fish species don’t even hump per se.

You know, Dan, they’re just going to use this as evidence that you are “obsessed with controlling her sexuality.”

  10. TheGeezer says:

Scientists at Edinburgh University have been studying complex mathematical models on a highly powerful computing system to look at the case of the Amazon Molly.

I wonder if it’s the same computer used to predict global warming?

If there are babies involved, somebody somewhere was screwing. I blame the parents.

  12. McGehee says:

Actually, without sex it just seems like 70,000 years.

  13. MarkD says:

Well, it’s better than being a preying mantis. One shot, and she bites off your head.

But I bet they have bicycles at least.
