For the most part, I think he does a good job. He gives African-Americans a bit of a pass on homophobia for being “more churched” than others, IMO (would that be an excuse for anyone else?).
The biggest disappointment is that he doesn’t address the hot-button issue of miscegenation in same-sex couples.
That can’t be comfortable.
