    I dunno what David K. would say, but I tend to see him as more of a libertarian than a conservative. And you all remember that libertarian vs. conservative spat in the blogs a couple a’ months ago. Libertarians (most of them) would not consider themselves a subset of the conservative movement.

    You might be right, Walter—though he <i>does</i> write for the <i>National Review</i> more often than, say, <i>Reason</i>; maybe Kopel’s libertarianism is conservative?  That is, not so much a subset of a broader movement, but more located at the place where libertarianism and conservatism overlap…?
