Dems 2008: Hillary Clinton, the Black Candidate [Karl]

OpenLeft’s Chris Bowers explains, though one of his commenters suggests that Hillary may be the Blue candidate.  It is coincidence that Bowers already inspired me to call her as the next Jesse Jackson.

Meanwhile, Marc Ambinder shows that even fuzzy delegate math is not enough for Clinton.

I’m not sure Senator Obama would be making a big deal about Senator Clinton’s original ” yes ” vote to authorize troops in Iraq if the Sears Tower in Chicago and not the World Trade Center was the target of the terrorist attack under Al Qaida. Everyone should remember that the President of the United States presented what he felt was compelling eveiudence that weapons of mass destruction were being held in Iraq. If the junior Senator from NY failed to authorize this was it would have been a slap in the face to her NY constituents most of whom were horrified and scared by 9-11. In the face of cmpelling evidence she acted responsibly and most of her fellow senators voted in favor of military action. Mr. Obama would have done the same thing had Illinois been the focus of 9-11 !

    Frist!

Karl – I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your yeoman’s work on the primaries. You have identified trends before they happen, spotted challenges for various campaigns, and have become my go-to source for analysis. In such a dynamic environment, prediction and forecast is difficult on a good day, and you, my friend, have been right far more than most.

At this point, I bet you could even guess how I will vote.

In honor of you, I am going to make a few predictions and observations.

    1) When Mona wakes up this morning, she will still be yearning for the gleens love juice.
    2) When IJS wakes up this morning, he will be proud to know that he has been promoted to the rarified air of asshattery previously only occupied cy those fuckers caric and timmah.
    3) Barry Fucking O will still be given a free pass on Pastor Wright due to his hopiness and changeyness message.
    4) And, Kyoto

    Regarding fuzzy stuff,

If one supports Planned Parenthood’s “Negro Project” then is one considered a Racist?

  4. JD says:

syn – It depends on if there is an R or a D behind your name.

  5. Pablo says:

I heard Barry saying yesterday how he ‘stood up’ against the Iraq vote with courage and everything. Did he mention it to anyone else at the time or just Michelle?

  6. B Moe says:

Mr. Obama would have done the same thing had Illinois been the focus of 9-11!

Mr. Obama would likely have done the same thing if had actually been a US Senator at the time. His hindsight bloviating reminds me of too many rednecks I have known, “I wish that sumbitch had tried that shit with me…..”

  7. JD says:

Yeah, Pablo. He called me and told me that if only Emil Jones in the IL Senate would let him vote on matters of national defense, he would have voted against it.

  8. now, now, he did make a speech.

  9. Karl says:

    JD,

Thanks for the kind words. I tend to agree with your predictions as well, except maybe #4…

    BECAUSE OF THE BYRD-HAGEL!!!

    From Ambinder’s comments…

Obama will likely win NC by more than a measly 7%. More likely 20 – 30% (I live here – there is definite support for Obama and the Research Triangle is highly educated. Plus, there are a fair number of black people here).

That’s just heartbreakingly sad if you read that like I do anyway.

  11. Pablo says:

    Thanks, maggie!
