Some videos of our little party put together by Chris Cafiero, the band archivist, are out on YouTube. Here’s Good Night To Boogie, featuring favorite guest Vince Herman. It illustrates the often, um, ad hoc nature of the proceedings in Jamaica. But then, the boys never were afraid to jump in the pool feat first. Did I actually say that? A little Cajun Rage, into High Roller (at Bill’s request), back into Cajun Rage. A new arrangement of Sailing Shoes that they didn’t really know, but like I said, they ain’t afraid to take a little detour for the benefit of the crazies. Cuz they love us, yannow?
For something completely fabulous, a vid of the apres-show goings-on at the Far Bar. At 8:40, the camera pans right and there’s some guy in a black t-shirt chatting up a blonde. I don’t know who this cat is, but he’s dead sexy.
Dude!
Looks like some fun. Any excuse to go to Jamaica and get plastered as far as I’m concerned. I did go see the Feat last year (or was it the year before?) at the Harrah’s in Metropolis, IL and was really impressed. I was there to see the Sam Bush Band open the show but really enjoyed Little Feat’s set. Sam came out at some point and played a couple songs with them on the fiddle and it was heavenly. In addition Paul Barrere and Fred Tacket really impressed me with the way they interacted on guitars, not the usual rythmn/lead arrangement.
Now I’m off to the Canopy Club in scenic Urbana, Il for the Drive By Truckers show tonight. If you haven’t seen or heard them you should check it out, I think it might be right up your alley.
Fat man in a bathtub.
Feats don’t fail me now! Gotta agree with Big E on DBT. Saw them
last year at small little club and they just howled. New album
is great.
