Michigan maybe kind of should just let the part where they get shafted be the end of this so they can point to it later and say to a Dem president that hey we got shafted you should give us free shit. I know. It’s hard to explain but in Michigan logic that’s a powerful argument.
That quote by Blanchard is priceless. What ever happened to him? Michigan has kind of become the state where the “next big thing” governors end up going nowere.
There’s something about the idea that telling people their vote won’t count so they don’t need to vote and then trying to count it that seems…well, Blanchard used the soviet thing already. Oh, I know. It seems unpatriotic.
Well, I think Party leaders in the state are supporting Clinton because they expect payback. How long until Jenny leaves Michigan- to take a post in Hillary’s Washington? The question has been poised, and she’s said that she’s got too much work to do in Michigan. Yea … right. I can hear it already :
My work here is done … I leave the state in very capable hands … yada yada yada, and her and the first Gentleman of Michigan are gone. As long as they take Nancy Skinner with them I may not be too upset.
Bush’s last hurrah should be to launch a cold war against Michigan, drive it that last half-inch to it’s economic knees, and demand Granholm tear down the wall on the southern border. Detroit is to Michigan what E. Germany was to Europe. And fresh air.
I should think the obvious choice would be to send the undecided delegates (the ones that would have gone to Obama) to the convention so they can decide there. Or… do they want to disenfranchise, literally, so many Michigan voters?
The problem is – when the primary occured, NO delegates were to be sat. And, only voters interested in Kookcinich or Hillary were really motivated to go to the polls. Sure, some turned out to vote non-committed … but you can’t say it didn’t have an effect.
Either they need to NOT count the delegates, or do a “do-over.” Anything else is blatant favorism to Hillary.
Oooh, thanks:) Although, honestly someone else could prolly make more of the story then me. Use bigger words, tie-in important facts and what-not.
I’m at work :-(
Stupid Valentine’s Day.

“Jenny leaves Michigan- to take a post in Hillary’s Washington”
Can we send her to Ottawa? It’d only be fair.
