The Ron Paul Effect [Karl]

In yesterday’s “Traffic Report,” I hypothesized that center-to-left blogs bucking the trend of declining traffic were doing so — at least in part — by blogging about Ron Paul.

Gawker has some evidence that hypothesis is correct.

At one time, I had Drudge up as my homepage.

    Now, I use his daddy.

Drudge has been my homepage forever and ever really, even some of the noobs I set up way back when still have him. I don’t know how to quit him even though he has so lost his way.

I can’t believe someone wrote a post with the words “Ron” and “Paul” in the title and there have been only two comments up to this point.

Where are the hordes of troofer morons, anarchist cranks, and neo-Nazis? Perhaps they’re drowning their sorrows over the fact that The Only Man Who Can Save America didn’t steamroll through Iowa.
