Prickocious? [Dan Collins]

Wha?

Three boys, ages 8 and 9, were being held Monday in a detention center on charges of kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl near a suburban apartment complex, officials said.

The alleged attack happened Thursday and the girl’s mother reported it to authorities Sunday, Acworth police Capt. Wayne Dennard said.

“The victim said they were playing outdoors and the girl was forced into a wooded area where she was sexually assaulted, where one of the boys raped her,” Dennard told The Associated Press.

The three boys – an 8-year-old and two 9-year-olds – appeared in juvenile court Monday afternoon, dwarfed by the courtroom chairs and wearing navy blue jump suits and shackles. Their names were withheld because of their age.

********

Acworth Police Chief Mike Wilkie said one of the boys was accused of threatening to hit the girl with a rock before the alleged assault. Wilkie also said the investigation is “far from over,” and investigators are looking into claims that after the alleged attack, the girl talked about it with her friends at a slumber party.

The girl’s mother told WGCL-TV in Atlanta, “They do need to be taught a lesson because if they do it to her, they could do it to somebody else. And who knows when they become teenagers what they can do to other girls.”

Geez. Do they play lacrosse?

Let’s stipulate to the allegations. Does Georgia have a castration penalty on the books? If they are doing this at 8 and 9, I would be terrified to even think about what they will grow into.

I nailed an 11-year old once. But I had the common decency to wait until I was 13.

    Ba-dump-dump.

I heard this on the radio today, can 8 or 9 year olds even get woodies? Seriously, I don’t recall that crime even being a possibility at that age. And to be honest, most 11 year old girls could have kicked my ass when I was 9.

  4. Sara says:

Sheesh! Boys must be different today than they were in my days of being an 8, 9, or 11 year old. Back then boys ages 8 and 9 still thought all girls had cooties.

Is that to say that they didn’t find out about the attack from the girl talking about it at the slumber party? Then how did they find out?

This sounds kinda not ready for prime time.

The housing project(criminal mill) where it occurred was on tv along with an interview with the “victim”. This whole story stinks to high heaven.

    interesting.

  8. JD says:

They interviewed the victim? I thought that the rape shield laws would protect an 11 year old. If the parents put their child on TV, they are disgusting.

  9. Rusty says:

No Andy. Cabrini – Green was interesting.

  10. Drumwaster says:

Sounds like they got caught playing doctor, and some nanny-staters got pissed that they were doing so without a permit.

    Everybody wants to be ob-gyn.

I’ve heard there are a lot of openings.

Something just does not sound quite right about this story.

I was thinking the same thing. She’s a little young to be one of Dan’s ex’s.

  14. Drumwaster says:

Not too young for Mohammed, I hear…

  15. thor says:

Ah yes, I wasn’t thinking in religious context. Makes more sense now.

It’s hard to believe that these kids are so sexually agressive so early. I wonder where they could have ever learned that from. Now we have to ask are the Vermont schools going to be shipping birth control to the Georgia 8 and 9 year olds now? You know, to show them how to be safe when they conduct thier future rapes.

  17. Darleen says:

    two considerations

if those boys were really engaging in something more than “playing doctor” then IMHO I’d say we are dealing with kids who have been raped or molested themselves and are preying on someone else. 8 and 9 year olds are NOT sexually aware in this way at that age. Especially boys.

secondly, WHAT THE FUCK that these kids were wearing SHACKLES???? Did they think they were a danger to the armed adults around them????

  18. Dan Collins says:

A lot of the boomers are so envious of youth that they want nobody else to have it.

  19. B Moe says:

This is really getting fucked up:

    http://www.wltx.com/news/story.aspx?storyid=55792&provider=top

“The father of one of the two 8-year-old suspects spoke with WXIA’s Kevin Rowson and said his son told him that everything that happened in the woods was consensual. Brandon LeBlanc said the girl accused the boys only after her parents had learned she had sexual relations.

“There was no violence involved,” LeBlanc told the Associated Press. “This is a clear case of a girl who didn’t want to get in trouble with her parents.”

Speaking on CNN, Acworth Police Chief Mike Wilkie reacted, “We can certainly understand why a father would speak defensively of his child.”

“That accusation has an implication that children at that age can consent to that type of act, and, of course, they cannot. That’s illegal, they cannot have consent, so we have to go forward with the charges that we have.”

So an 11 year old girl can’t be a willing participant, but an 8 year old boy can?

I am really glad I don’t have any children now, how sad is that?
