Good lord, make it stop. Like, now. Seriously. WE CAN’T WAIT!

Another oblique argument for a third party?
At the American Spectator, W. James Antle III, responding to Ross Douthat’s suggestion that the TEA Party will be to blame for a Romney nomination, offers this reminder: For the past 24 years, conservatives have failed to unite behind a single candidate, splitting their votes between the frontrunner and various right-wing alternatives who appealed to particular subsets of the conservative movement. Candidates beloved by the movement have failed to catch
CAIR and Occupy Wall Street
Evidently, Islam stands for social justice first and foremost. Gays, women, Jews, Christians, and Buddhists were mostly unavailable for comment.
"Obama’s underwhelming housing plan"
Shampoo, rinse, repeat: President Barack Obama’s latest proposal to help struggling homeowners—to be followed soon by a student debt initiative—isn’t likely to be much more successful than previous efforts. An analysis by MF Global’s Washington Research Group estimates the plan to make it easier for homeowners to refinance their mortgages will target just “600,000 to 1 million more refinancings of underwater borrowers. … For those who get HARP refinancings, this

"Libya's liberation: interim ruler unveils more radical than expected plans for Islamic law"
The Arab Spring continues apace! Meanwhile, “maverick” John McCain and putative GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney rush to congratulate Obama on his foreign policy successes. Which, from where I sit, appears to be that Obama has routinely gotten behind movements that are toppling Arab strongmen and replacing them with Islamists and Islamic theocracies, just in time for Iran to arm itself with nuclear weapons, and just in time for a

I likewise agree that left unchecked, they will eventually force the deconstruction of the Constitution itself (Wickard and others have undoubtedly provided inroads for just that strategy) by completely undermining its original aims.
"New Video Reveals: New York Times Reporter Natasha Lennard Is #OccupyWallStreet Activist, Supporter"
Honestly, why do people still sound so surprised by this? The mainstream press in this country — as Jeff Jarvis happily advocated years ago — no longer believes itself responsible for “reporting” the news, a task they feel is a kind of cultural stenography, and as such, far beneath both their talents and ambitions. Instead, they fancy themselves activists of sorts, and the role of the journalist, per Jarvis, is

This one from Tiffany Reynolds Richardson, a functionary for NC Democrat Elaine Marshall. Ms Richardson writes: Dear Jeff, There are a lot of politicians trying to cozy up to Occupy Wall Street – but very few are actually hitting the streets to stand with them. That’s why I’m proud to be working for Secretary of State Elaine Marshall – someone who hasn’t just embraced the OWS protests, but has actually
