I don’t know what is more embarrassing … that some schmoe summer intern had no clue what he was confirming or that an alleged news program … from producer to graphic artist to announcer … was “fooled.”
Dayum.

The intern Prince, Edward had to call them back. He was in the can.
Sorry.
Cluster-attack-of-the-dumb-ass.
Gawd, this is even worse than the “London 2012” goatse logo that was broadcast on the BBC. This is “punked by 4Chan” bad.
Remember folks, this is a MAJOR news market and KTVU is a big player. This is the job that TV people spend their entire careers working towards.
This is who provides your daily news.
I always have to look twice at KTVU, because a local Utah station is KUTV.
This is also why you never put joke text in a draft version of something: you might forget to take it out, or the wrong person might see it before the final.
Life imitates Anchorman.
Can’t stop watching that video. Absolutely one of the best pranks ever achieved.
As a racist tea party moron I think the too -soon rule was violated. And while it’s okay for asians to be offended white asians need to shit the eff up.
or shut
That San Francisco press racial and cultural tolerance sure is impressive.

Lorem ipsum, people! It’s there for a purpose. (Probably the same sort of graphic design noobs who wouldn’t realize that 1960s military bases didn’t really have Times New Roman at their disposal for everyday memos.)
Someone else need a swift kick in the ass.
Best laugh I’ve had in ages. Priceless.
“The only thing dumber than a biddy hen is a New York Democrat….”
( Mother Abigail in The Stand, before King flew off to cloud-cuckoo land…. )
“Journalists” are gullible, ignorant, & stupid?
Who knew!
Put that copy on the little god-king’s teleprompter and he’ll read it without batting an eye.
Guaranteed.
On the other hand , recall the Hainan Island Incident where the wayward pilot’s name was Wang Wei.
The Shit the Eff Up Puzzlement
by Hu Flung Pu
“This copy edited by Wei Tu Dum.”
He’d probably pronounce them wrong, though.
Corpse-man, anyone?
Mind-blowing.
Greetings:
I can’t imagine such a thing happening in the multi-legal, multiculturally diverse San Francisco Bay area (aka Pelosiland) even across the little water in even more multi-legal, mutliculturally diverse Oaktown (aka Oakland).
And besides, everybody who’s been across the big water knows that one-half of Koreans are named Kim and the other half are named Park.
Both pilots have Lee for their last name.
ATW, it’s Park, Lee, and Kim (in that order). Those account for the family names of 50% of all Koreans. They have only about 250 family names total.
Greetings:
If I can have just one more bite of your hospitality apple, I would like to add that it was a couple of decades ago that “Jeopardy” (the game show wherein contestants are given the answer and they have to supply the question) adjusted my image of the intellectual level of our TV Talking Heads. You see, the program broadcast some kind of celebrity week contest and the media types were not impressive in a good way. Up until that point, I had kind of surmised that someone in those positions would have a good education and understanding of how the world is, was, and will be operating. “Jeopardy” thus contributed significantly to my own education.
Lastly, I think that there should, in fact, be some kind of special Emmy award for the total politically correct earnestness with which the announceress delivered such complete nonsense. Her determination to properly pronounce Oriental names probably contributed significantly to her “tunnel vision”.

The funniest part: The news readers reads it straight-faced. Totally clueless.
