MSNBC Harris-Perry cruises down that river in Egypt [Darleen Click]

Geez, guys, when did the last “workplace violence” include beheading?

That was no accident and has everything to do with Islamism. Can anyone point to any murder by beheading that does not have a connection with Islam?

    Reign of Terror?

  2. McGehee says:

Not since Johnny Depp gave Christopher Walken back his head.

  3. dicentra says:

Gawd almighty these people are scary.

What matters is that Beheader Guy thought that Islam was relevant to his actions. You Star-Bellied Sneeches have no vote on whether Islam was involved.

Also notice their reliance on “narrative” as something that can be (and ought to be, and necessarily is) generated out of thin air, and that one narrative can easily be replaced by another, regardless of facts on the ground.

Worse than screwed, we’re zoo animals who can’t distinguish predator from prey.

We deserve whatever we get, at this point.

  4. Darleen says:

Blake … maybe I should have qualified my question with “recent”… heh … :-)

  5. We’ve seen this type before.

1920’s, the Soviet Union. The Mensheviks were like this – exactly like this – and the Bolsheviks had an easier time killing them then they did the Kulaks.

  6. Blake says:

Darleen, hey, at least you got the reference. Whereas I suspect MHP would give me that glazed “deer in headlights” look.

  7. Perhaps, Darleen, Blake was confused because this is The Reign Of Error?

  8. MHP is saving her ‘deer in the headlights’ look for when they put the knife to her pretty little head.

I’m beginning to think electing a Kenyan Muslim to the US presidency was a mistake.

Adam Soltani, the executive director of the Council on American Islamic Relations in Oklahoma, told KFOR that “it’s really unfortunate that there’s a lot of attention on Muslims these days for actions of people who are either part of extremist groups or who have extreme ideas.”

“However, Islam is clear on what it stands for. Islam stands for peace, Islam stands for justice, Islam stands for love for humanity, compassion and mercy,” Soltani said. “What this gentleman did in Moore, which is inhumane and barbaric, is definitely not a representation of what our faith teaches and we hope and pray that justice will be brought against the perpetrator soon, so that the victims and their families can find some sort of solace in that justice,”

You must submit, infidels, because we won’t quit, either lying or beheading. We are commanded to do both.

Sophie Scholl and her brother Hans, members of the White Rose resistance who distributed leaflets against the Nazis at their university were executed by the Nazis with a guillotine.

  13. William says:

    9/11 was workplace violence.

So I guess all we’re arguing is how small workplace violence needs to be before we can ignore it.

  14. bgbear says:

A head here. A head there. Pretty soon it adds up to real terrorism.

  15. bgbear says:

maybe the question is more like “Can anyone point to any murder by beheading that does not have a connection with terrorism?”

I believe drug cartel guys whack off heads and it is as much about terror as it is about getting rid of someone.

  16. William says:

But their world is so “Ostrich in sand” that they can’t point to the cartel beheadings cause then, well, why are our borders open?

I do kinda feel for them: the world they try to inhabit is very boring. Not even much good scripted television can come from it.

  17. Blake says:

Bob, I was going to try to riff off of “Reign of Error” and the rise of beheading in the US.

I couldn’t quite pull it together, though.

    Great minds, however.

  18. 11B40 says:

    Greetings:

Maybe once “domestic violence” starts including beheadings she’ll start ti wisen up. In the interim, she has my best wishes that she doesn’t become one of those women that are possessed by the right hands of Islamaniacs.

  19. Blake says:

11B40, “The beheadings will continue until morale improves?”

  20. Great minds, indeed, Blake, indeed.

  22. serr8d says:

Hey Negin Farsadd, we are not creating a link between Muslims and violence. Muslims are exposing how easy it is for Islamic ‘really faithful’ to commit and accept violence, because their “The Ho’oly Book” calls for and expects it’s madcap believers to commit and accept violence. And too many ‘really faithful’ Muslims actually take the damned book seriously.

  23. Darleen says:

. Muslims are exposing how easy it is for Islamic ‘really faithful’ to commit and accept violence, because their “The Ho’oly Book” calls for

As I’ve read elsewhere, part of the issue is how Muslims consider the Koran. It is supposed to be the exact words of Allah

NOT like the Bible, which Jews & Christians take as being written by humans filled with the word of God, but the exact word for word put down by God. In Arabic. No translation is considered fully correct or entirely legitimate.

  24. McGehee says:

Jews and Christians know that the inherent contradictions in their scriptures prove the fallibility of their proximate authors, thus it could only have been written by a mere mortal as the flawed instrument of God.

Muslims seem not to mind worshipping a fallible deity.

  25. guinspen says:

    Likewise, Obamims.

  26. Not a word, not a punctuation mark can be altered, Darleen.

    Moon gods are sooooo picky.

  27. cranky-d says:

People who know their religion cannot stand any scrutiny (e.g. Muslims, progressives) are obsessed with protecting it.

  28. McGehee says:

I got a taste of that from an Appleborg today. Protip: to avoid being called a Borg, don’t act like a Borg.

Edited to add: It isn’t the Appleborg doctrine that bothers me, it’s the intensity of the devotion.
