“Barack Obama’s biographical brief edited repeatedly over 17 years, but Kenyan birthplace changed just weeks after his presidential run announced”

Just a series of editorial oversights. Besides which, what business is it of yours, anyway? It’s a (half) Black / potentially Kenyan thing. You wouldn’t understand.

American racists.

  1. I think he’s Elizabeth Warren’s evil twin.

  2. Any contact Deval Patrick about Buh-rock plagerizing his work at Hah-vard?

  3. this is different than cutting someone’s hair

  4. You mean that Obama is a craven opportunist who will tell people whatever he thinks will advance his position?

    I’m flabbergasted.

  5. anyone, that should say.

The Wonce is a chimera until he isn’t. Zombie Breitbart will have the last laugh.

  6. The truth can be quite unseemly. The polite thing to do is ignore it.

  7. be careful out there, you could be arrested for criticizing Dear Leader.

  8. Barack Obama is his own, self-created “composite person.”

  9. Obama is a cat still in Herr Doktor Schrödinger’s box. But unlike a real cat, even Obama doesn’t know if he is or isn’t. Which is just fine because unlike a real cat Obama doesn’t care.

  10. Obama is whoever he thinks he needs to be at any particular moment.

  11. One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from anxious dreams, he discovered that in his bed he had been changed into a monstrous verminous bug. He lay on his armour-hard back and saw, as he lifted his head up a little, his brown, arched abdomen divided up into rigid bow-like sections. From this height the blanket, just about ready to slide off completely, could hardly stay in place. His numerous legs, pitifully thin in comparison to the rest of his circumference, flickered helplessly before his eyes.

“What’s happened to me,” he thought. It was no dream. His room, a proper room for a human being, only somewhat too small, lay quietly between the four well-known walls. Above the table, on which an unpacked collection of sample cloth goods was spread out—Samsa was a travelling salesman—hung the picture which he had cut out of an illustrated magazine a little while ago and set in a pretty gilt frame. It was a picture of a woman with a fur hat and a fur boa. She sat erect there, lifting up in the direction of the viewer a solid fur muff into which her entire forearm had disappeared.

Gregor’s glance then turned to the window. The dreary weather—the rain drops were falling audibly down on the metal window ledge—made him quite melancholy. “Why don’t I keep sleeping for a little while longer and forget all this foolishness,” he thought. But this was entirely impractical, for he was used to sleeping on his right side, but in his present state he could not get himself into this position. No matter how hard he threw himself onto his right side, he always rolled onto his back again. He must have tried it a hundred times, closing his eyes so that he would not have to see the wriggling legs, and gave up only when he began to feel a light, dull pain in his side which he had never felt before.

  12. The fever dreams are contagious.

  13. Obama is whoever he thinks he needs to be at any particular moment.
The one area on which he has never taken one step back in his entire career is

  14. Obama is an asshole and a fool.

(The point you take away for vulgarity you have to give back for accuracy.)

  15. Word.

  16. The one area on which he has never taken one step back in his entire career is

    Audacity. Of Dope.

  17. Abortion. On demand, on your dime. No apologies, no regrets. 2 go in, 1 comes out.

  18. AZ Secretary of State Threatens to Remove Obama from Ballot

  19. I think there’s a list there. Wealth redistribution is on it. America sucking is too.

  20. I knew I felt a disturbance in the force .

My son ran a 5K in Joplin on Saturday for the tornado victims and on Monday Obama comes to speechify.

  21. Cory Booker said whatever it is Obama wants him to have said. Related. Because, Cory Booker.

He could one day be our first Black President.

  22. This link was supposed to be in that last comment. I blame the liquor.

  23. cory booker realizes that the obama/warren faction are too stupid

  24. How to Write Democrat Autobiographies.

  25. Mr. Cotto is opining on that too (of course his take is Breitbart is flat wrong). But that is obviously his schtick. I wonder my the Washington Times is playing along.

So whose bitch is Joseph Cotto?

  26. Transparent impartial public fraud investigations based on obvious cause for suspicion are only for non-connected democrats. Because we ALLOW them to be.

  27. Progressives depend on most of us being too busy living our own lives to be worried about what they are doing.

  28. The question: Will any one of the WH press pool reporters borrow the shriveled half-testicle (which was rumored to have been one of Helen Thomas’s and is kept in a wall mounted box inscribed with “In case of emergency break glass”) and ask Obama about his Kenya/Not Kenya bio?

  29. Yep, my question is Al’s question -who is going to ask Obama about this? Well, who is going to ask Carney about this?

I had really disregarded the birth certificate stuff but now ?

  30. Barack Obama and the Sacred Coronation: Duping Delight.

  31. Tell me I’m not the only one who wants to see Carney get a beat-down (literally) on live teevee when he sneers an answer about this at the next press briefing?

  32. Someone on the site (Mike?) recommended the Dan Simmons novel Flashback. I like Simmons and gave it a try.
The book is marketed as being about Flashback. It is really about After.
    We lose.
    It’s not pretty.
It seems like a Michael Crichton shift for Simmons, though Crichton did get a few very successful movies made before he came out as a classical liberal. Simmons has his most sympathetic character, an emeritus English professor, deliver an internal monologue reminiscent of David Mamet’s transition from Brain Dead Liberal to classical liberal.
150 pages in but I’m going to give it a “highly recommended” and thanks for the tip.

  33. Kind of wonder(with regards to Mayor Booker) how much a man’s integrity, self respect and honesty fetch on the open market.

  34. FX, my honesty, self respect and integrity are for sale.*

    *buyer beware.

  35. I made the mistake when I put mine on the market, of naming a price but leaving out “…or best offer.”

Obviously my honesty, self-respect and integrity aren’t worth as much as I hoped. Then again, at least I don’t have to worry about somebody scalping them.

  36. NR, I question the timing of your introducing the topic of Native Americans right after my comment.

  37. Heh. I believe it was you who brought up scalping, Paleface.

  38. The Catholics are displaying (finally!) some nut-sackiness. Time to discover how many ‘real’ Catholics remain. I’m thinking very few indeed..

  39. Au contraire, mon frere. Not a week has passed since all the pastoral letters went out where this topic hasn’t been addressed.

40 diocese have signed off on the law suit. Biblical, no?

  40. here are the 40s what are biblical

  41. Dennis Prager, he says that when the number 40 is associated with a time span, it means that the beginning and end of the event were determined by God, not that a literal 40 days/years elapsed.

We’re Greeks reading Hebrews, so we’re liable to see an integer plus a unit of measurement as an indication that the writer’s getting all precise, when in fact the writer is actually getting all figurative.

  42. Not so much concerned with with the hierarchy, leigh, as with the grunts in the pews. As we’ve noticed, many have eschewed biblical teachings for the weak and easy LeftLibProgg lifestyle. Those, who are soft in the staunch.

Didn’t Paul tell some Galatians, ‘What’s wrong with you fools? Obama is the fricken’ anti-Christ!’? Or something like that.

  43. We’ve actually gained more congregants in the past couple of years at my tiny parish, jdw. Part of it is the influx of hispanics who have moved up here from Texas to work in the chicken houses. Another part of it is younger members who now have children and are rediscovering their faith now that their own little ones are getting baptised or ready for their First Communion.

In Proverbs it says “Train children up in the way they should go and when they grow old, they will not depart from it.”

We are living in trying times and Obama has stepped on some toes pretty hard. Honestly, I’ve felt the energy change and people are pissed, not scared. This isn’t our first rodeo or the first Muslim who had to be taken to school. Bring it on, is the message I’ve been hearing.

  44. Matthews is a tool. He knows the Bishops aren’t going to endorse any political candidates or talk about who they personally vote for.

  45. mv, counting on you. Whenever someone on PW recommends a book, I dash over to Amazon to grab it for Kindle. I’m headed to my bunk with new reading material.

  46. Don’t tempt me like that Red. I can bury you in bibliography almost as fast as Obama can bury you in bullshit.

  47. mc, well into it and enjoying it. Nice call.
Ernst, bring it. I learn more when there are a lot of eyes reading things I may never see.

  48. RI Red, e-mail me at sdferr at comcast dot net and I’ll send ya some transcriptions of Strauss classes at UChicago you might enjoy.

  49. sdferr, you’ll be getting a g-mail momentarily. Thx.

  50. “Kind of wonder(with regards to Mayor Booker) how much a man’s integrity, self respect and honesty fetch on the open market.”

Should be worth a couple of “don’t hit me no more” tokens at least.

  51. Jeff, wondering if you’ve had a chance to look at NO MATTER WHAT…THEY’LL CALL THIS BOOK RACIST. Because there’s nothing like a new baby to derail your private time.
