Osama bin Buboes [Dan Collins]

A plague on Islamist fanatics.

San Franciscans tear Free Tibet bumperstickers off their Priuses. Oh, the smiting of the gob.

  1. Jeffersonian says:

Wouldn’t that be The African American Death?

  2. B Moe says:

    The Dalai Lama loves Bush?

  3. Sdferr says:

Oy, can blaming the plague on the CIA and Booooosh be far behind? It’s been done already I’ll bet.

  4. Dan Collins says:

Nah, it’s got to be the Jooooooos.

  5. I think it’s one of those “he loves everyone” things, B Moe.

  6. Sdferr says:

Damn good point Dan, inside the jihadi camps anyway. Around Manhattan Dinner tables and in LA parlors though, not so much I’d guess.

  7. Stephanie says:

Actually, the Dalai Lama was discussing his love of Bush (not the pussy, BTW, thor) in the context of working with him and his understanding of the terror situation.

He went on to add how he and the US President instantly struck a chord in their first meeting unlike politicians who take a while to develop close ties.

IIRC he wasn’t a big fan of Clinton.

  8. Dash Rendar says:

Is this for real for reals? Talk about a quick rehabilitation of The Shrub’s legacy and all that. But what is a leftist to do, torn between the lodestars of communism and non-descript, certainly non-Judeo/Christian Eastern religion? Brush off the dust on your little red book, mayhaps.

  9. Spiny Norman says:

Nah, it’s got to be the Jooooooos.

Well, it was blamed on the Jews 660 years ago, and I see nothing to stop them now.

  10. well, but if you follow through to the article it goes on:

“I told him ‘I love you but some of your policies I oppose’,” said the spiritual leader to a loud round of applause from the audience which included Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, Election Commissioner Navin Chawla and several ministers, diplomats and artistes.

    doesn’t say what policies.

‘Tis a puzzlement, to be sure, but give ’em time, they’ll find something.

  12. Dan Collins says:

They seem to be in agreement that the Jihadists can’t be reasoned with, though.

  13. Spiny Norman says:

    doesn’t say what policies.

The assembled notables didn’t know or care, it was just something to relieve the painful cognitive dissonance.

  14. pan says:

Because the argument you’re refuting is pacifism.

  15. Dan Collins says:

You say pacifist, I say dhimmi. Let’s call the whole thing off.

  16. Stephanie says:

‘I love you but some of your policies I oppose’

Probably disagrees with Gitmo.. the Dalai Lama WAS advocating for eradication of terrorists as they have closed minds and can’t be changed…

Misdirection is the best form of diplomacy…

  17. Dan Collins says:

It also works against stunting defensive lines.

  18. and sleight-of-hand.

  19. Spiny Norman says:

The nickel back never sees it coming.

  20. Bob Reed says:

The plague couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of guys…

And, I wonder if Richard Gere has to recant all of his BDS inspired ravings now that the Dali Lama has spoken so nicely of him; now that’s affirmation, babay!

  21. Roland THTG says:

Rats and fleas are mostly pacifistic, I think.
    Is that even a word?

  22. Roland THTG says:

    Yes, yes it is.
Pacifistic is actually a $3.00 word.

    WIN!

  23. Roland THTG says:

    From the French pacifisme.
    Coincidence? I think not.

  24. J."Trashman" Peden says:

the Dalai Lama WAS advocating for eradication of terrorists as they have closed minds and can’t be changed…

So now can the Left ever claim again that watching Zombi movies does not help us “understand” the Islamofascists!

  25. Joe says:

ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR! ALLAH AKBAR!

A prayer of thanks for every one fallen!

  26. Roland THTG says:

    More like ALLAH FUBAR!

  27. Stephanie says:

Geez, thanks Joe, you gonna do that on every thread about this on the internet? Get some new material.

  28. Roland THTG says:

A prayer of thanks for every one fallen!

Yes, I join you in being thankful the greasy goat humpers are fallen, and can’t get up.

  29. mojo says:

    Put your pants on, Spartacus.

  30. Furriskey says:

“Oy, can blaming the plague on the CIA and Booooosh be far behind?”

Mugabe just blamed Britain for the recent cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe. Cause & effect. Britain put Mugabe in power. Mugabe is full of shit. Shit causes cholera. QED.

  31. happyfeet says:

    Furriskey!

oh. The shuttle people just called and bumped me to 35 minutes form now. Cause & Effect!

  32. happyfeet says:

    oh. *from* I meant.

  33. bill says:

Wonder if the demented little darlings of jihad were experimenting with plague bacilli as a weapon and got bitch slapped by nature. That would be sweetly ironic. I fear and hate rats more than anything breathing (due to a deprived factory town upbringing), but I actually have more compassion on the poor plague bearing rats than the goatboys the fleas bit.

  34. No doubt the lefties can quickly recover their equilibrium. They’ll claim that they “love” Bush too. Just like trashing America is the highest form of patriotism, so hating Bush is the highest form of love.

  35. Spies, Brigands, and Pirates says:

Interesting, bill. I’ve seen others speculating on that (someone suggested that they might’ve been shooting for a “human bomb” attack; load the guy up with plague and then send him on a world tour via airliner).

If that’s the case, I don’t think it’d be too effective. Plague is easily treatable with antibiotics.

Unless, of course, you’re an ignorant savage living in a pre-medieval state of barbarism.

  36. daleyrocks says:

I question the timing or at least the motives. There’s got to be something going on in Dan’s devious mind to pair the rat/jihadi plague link with the Dalai Lama praise link and the Richard Gere thoughts it brings to minds.

    Gungala dunga. Just sayin’.

  37. Matt says:

God works in mysteriously ways. So does Allah, one suspects.

  38. TheGeezer says:

SBP: did I read somewhere years ago that flinging a plague-ridden body into a fortress with a catapult was a tactic in the Middle Ages? I wonder if requiring an insect vector might make that useless?

  39. Spies, Brigands, and Pirates says:

From what I’ve been reading, the pneumonic form of plague can be spread by coughing.

  40. ushie says:

Now rats are my heroes! Rats, and the fleas they carry! I love you, rattus ickiness!

  41. Sdferr says:

There are many forms of plague abroad today in the Islamist movements. Here’s another, called Hamas’ Revenge, for instance.

  42. […] joke stolen from Dan Collins, who also links to a story on Black Death killing al-Qaeda terrorists in […]

  43. qwfwq says:

Yeah, I would tend to agree; they didn’t just happen to get The Plague. Sounds like a work accident.

  44. J."Trashman" Peden says:

I question the timing or at least the motives. There’s got to be something going on in Dan’s devious mind to pair the rat/jihadi plague link with the Dalai Lama praise link and the Richard Gere thoughts it brings to minds.

    Gungala dunga. Just sayin’.

Exactly. I thought the same thing, that there was a relationship between the Plague striking the Islamofacists and the Lama saying that pascifism would not cure them. So let it be agreed, daleyrocks. Nunwe.

  45. Chris S. says:

Well, as a Republican and practicing Tibetan Buddhist, this gives me great joy. (Joy! Joy!)

The other night, one of the aged hippy, touchy-feely “Euro-Buddhists” told us how he heard Howard Zinn (on Democracy Now!) state how horribly “proud” Americans were- and he got rebutted by the resident lamas.

Fuck the “Free Tibet” people, anyways- all their “awareness-raising” just gets canceled out by their endless excuses for the Peoples Republic of China . . .
