Word to the Wise [Dan Collins]

From drink-soaked Trotskyite popinjay:

So a warning to Muslims who choose to criticize their religion or even extremist segments of it. Don’t expect to get away with the sort of thing white liberals get away with saying about Catholicism or the Church of England, because they won’t like you causing trouble.

Don’t expect solidarity or support, you will be seen as the authors of your own misfortune.

Most of all, don’t expect the snidely liberals to watch your backs.

They are so very tired of you.

Of course. Off with our heads!

WE are the A holes, because we dare espouse values that come from the damnable past.

    “Truth to power”?

    More like “Fruits to power”.

Didn’t we used to have a troll who liked to call us Trotskyites? I seem to remember that word popping up multiple times in each of that unworthy’s comments, like it came up on some Bizarro “word-a-day” calendar or something.

I read the thread at Crooked Timbers (a forced march, actually, given the insufferable elitism that exuded from the participants; most of whom probably believe that their bowels are more ambrosial than skatole…)

Ayaan Hirshi Ali was discussed as would a science team detail a troublesome batch of data. The dehumanization and mockery…and the misunderstanding…of Ayaan’s struggles to not only survive, but to lead largely uneducated Muslim women away from the narrow path that will be sum of their lives, causes me to approach incredulity. This is an example:

And might I add, the lies to which I object are not the ones she told to get assylum [sic] in the Netherlands, but the ones she seems to keep on spinning about her dark oppressed childhood.

Well, I would say that if at age 5 any girl-child who had her clitoris surgically removed could be said to have had a dark and oppressed childhood.

Something that might in turn spur a person to reject, strongly, a belief system that espouses at any level such a procedure.

No matter if 1 – 1.5 Billion people are fool enough to follow even the basic tenets of that belief, it’s well past time that said belief was subjected to reform.

    For the children…
