John Gibson and Mark Levin weigh in on Media Matters, George Soros, John Kerry, Keith Olbermann, and the art of the soundbite edit — particularly with respect to the latest leftwing attempts to smear Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly.
Can we call this “Swiftboating”?
Marc Levin? Isn’t he Rush Limbaugh’s best friend and legal adviser?
I dunno, blarkin. But what if he is?
This reminds me of the old political trickster’s favorite ploy: the unfounded accusation.
“Listen, get the boys to spread the word – quietly – that there are rumors that the other guy had sex with a cow when he was a young man.”
“Is that true?”
“Probably not, but I just want him to have to deny it publicly.”
Listening to the Levin bit, toward the end he plays a clip from Silky Pony answering a question from “what can we do to eliminate inner city violence?”… Silky responds by saying
Yes, that’s the compassionate Left … them darkies are just like li’l children who jus’ canna halp themselves.
O’Reilly gets slammed as a “racist” for pointing out that the oft-showed stereotype of rapper black thugs is wrong, but Edwards underlines and promotes that stereotype. I’m sure the Left will be on it any second now…
…any.second.now.
…any
…yeah
Wanna bet? I can think of a certain property in North Carolina that – if seized and sold under the ‘Kelo’ decision – would pay for an entire medium security prison. For the greater good, y’know. And another in Chappaqua, New York.
oh…wait… it did make it on a kos diary
Ah, savor The Narrative(tm)!
– “Ah, savor The Narrative(tm)!”
– Its called “Selective interpretation”, and seems to work as long as you stay in the confines of the Komrads O’ Le echo chamber. Anywhere else, not so much.
Because the truth is that black people can only wind up dead or in jail unless we nanny them away from all that? I know of some folks that would be very surprised to hear that, having worked hard for their own achievements.
The truth this Kos Kid is hiding from is his own racism.
– Bunnyman just condemned the entire Black American population as hopeless criminals, and the left scrammbles to give him cover by going on the offensive, and using words like courageous.
– Black America had better decide whether letting this sort of “closet bigotry” pass, and understand what these people are willing to do to them for political gain. Is the chocolate really worth it, so to speak. I’m still waiting for the Black community to stand up and say ENOUGH! They came close to it when the Leftturds tried to equate illegal immigration/open borders to the civil rights movement, but the Marxocrats retreated fast when they saw where that little peccodillo was heading.
– edit: “….pass is ok or not, and…”
Selective quoting is not a new phenomenon – ask any lawyer, law clerk, or judge. In the legal world it is tricky to do and dangerous to fail at. Unfortunately, there aren’t any sanctions available for those who do the same in politics or media – except for scorn and an increasing disbelief in anything said.
Darleen, there are two interpretations of Edwards’ comment. You’ve explained one, but the other is that black folks are being unfairly prosecuted in greater numbers than whites, that crimes that tend to be committed by blacks are punished more harshly than those that whites are more likely to perpretrate (The “white collar crime” epithet subtly reinforces this notion). Take the laws on cocaine, for example. We punish crack with harsher sentences than for powder, and “everyone knows” that black people do rock and white people do blow.
Since anything that adversely affects one ethnic group* out of its proportion in the general population is “racist”, the police in our inner cities are occupying forces, and the minority criminals are La Resistance!
—
*With the exception of whites, especially Anglophones. The policies of NBA teams to hire the best basketball players clearly constitute “de facto discrimination”; were a 12-man roster to truly “look like America” it would have one or two black players, an equal number Hispanic, about a 50% chance of having an Asian, roughly one in six chance of a Native American, and the rest would be white. If it were any ethnicity other than whites under-represented so blatantly, NBA teams would be sued for discrimination.
It isn’t the first time. There was a racist joke when I was a teen that said the only way to get five black guys off a white woman was to throw them a basketball. Then Bill Clinton got elected, started the federally-funded midnight basketball leagues, and it became policy.
That’s only if you’re one of those people who believe the word “niggardly” is a racist adjective.
Good lord, man, “white collar” has not a damned thing to do with RACE.
And the powder/crack disparity has not a thing to do with “punishing the darkies more harshly” but came at the behest of black communities that demanded immediate and harsh action against those that were destroying and exploiting them. (leaving aside, too, that crack has a far different physiological affect on brain chemistry than does powder)
Payback is all these smears are about. They’ve got to make up for the embarrassment the MoveOn ad caused the left so ClintonMatters has manufactured two transparently dishonest smears against prominent conservatives as payback. That most media picked up the smears without doing any independent checking once again shows their bias and willingness to believe anything negative about a conservative.
Yeah, all the white people I know who smoke(d) crack are only recreational crack smokers. It must affect black people differently I guess.
sarcasm off
I like when soros money gets called “brownshirt.”
Oh, look, right on cue.
– “….while Juan Valdez is reporting his Columbian parmaceuticals division profits are up 8% for the first 3 quarters of 2007 over the fiscal end-of-the-year net income for fiscal 2006…..In other consumer news….”
But whites still have NASCAR and the WWE, right? Doesn’t that mean that we should forcibly integrate NASCAR?
And it couldn’t possibly be that blacks are actually committing more crimes per capita, could it? Nah, it all has to be “The Man” keeping down “Tha Brutha”. And to even mention that The Narrative might have holes is to be called a “racist” in response.
Says you.
Uh, this is a joke, right? “White collar” is named in contrast to “blue collar” — it’s about status in the working world, not race. A “white collar” was the mark of management, while a “blue collar” was the mark of the laborer. Thus, fraud, embezzlement, etc. are “white collar” because management types tend to be in the best place to commit those crimes.
God, I hate people who project their own racist beliefs on perfectly innocent turns of phrase.
Don’t forget hockey. You don’t see that many brothers in the NHL and remember why Bryant Gumbel said he didn’t watch the Winter Olympics – not enough brothers.
heh, I’d almost forgotten about that one, daley. But, as with the kosskiddie praising Silky for “speaking the truth”, Gumble had his supporterers, too
It does further reveal the strange racism on the part of the participants in The Narrative(tm) … Blacks are better than whites in physical events (and The Man keeps ’em down by not allowing them to compete ‘in pseudo-sports’) but Blacks are inferior to whites in intellectual pursuits (so The Man keeps ’em down by holding them to the same standards)
All which serves the official narrative and, naturally, stokes the fires of gaseous white guilt. Be singed, Darleen, or be denounced.
I like when soros money gets called “brownshirt.â€Â
Soros got his start in life doing odd jobs for the Nazi occupation. Mainly delivering “deportation orders” to other Jews, as I recall.
“Soros got his start in life doing odd jobs for the Nazi occupation. Mainly delivering “deportation orders†to other Jews, as I recall.”
Nazi Jooo money. Something for everyone.
So, andy:
You don’t like “homophobes”, but idolize Ahmedinejad.
You’re for “feminism”, but fellate the Islamicists on a daily basis.
You’re opposed to “Nazis”, but think admitted collaborator Soros is just swell.
You hate “racists”, while believing that minorities are incapable of academic achievement without special concessions.
Is that about the size of it?
“You don’t like “homophobesâ€Â, but idolize Ahmedinejad.

I think you’ve figured out ‘anatomy of a smear’ just fine.
andy
Chomsky is an anti-Semite.
When you grasp that, then you’ll understand that Soros money as “brownshirt” is not too far off the mark.
If when you die you get a choice between pie heaven and regular heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if not, mmm-boy.

– “Nazi Jooo money. Something for everyone.”
– Jooo monies commondeered from Jooo business owners by the SA, and later the SS. May the Ghosts of my ancestors hound you, and those like you, to hell andy.
“Chomsky is an anti-Semite.”
You guys are really practiced at this anatomy of a smear stuff. But that was shallow. This:
“- Jooo monies commondeered from Jooo business owners by the SA, and later the SS. May the Ghosts of my ancestors hound you, and those like you, to hell andy.”
Outstanding effort!
andy, really, it isn’t all about you.
“Nazi Jooo money. Something for everyone.â€Â
Only if you’re “neutral” like the Swiss….
Edwards bumbled through a racially charged issue. So did OReilly. So did Gumble.
I don’t think any of those three are racist.
Conversations within the minefield that is race shouldn’t be conducted under torturous scrutiny, but if you are a Republican they are. Progressives have a vested interest in defining conservatives as racist, it is part of their self justification and their very identity is threatened by the thought of a race neutral world.
So Andy is it ok for groups like Media Matters to distort words of conservatives in order to make them look bad?
This just in:

And the Padres are getting crushed while the Rox are playing a squeaker in the 7th. Gee, I wonder what Jeff is doing.
“So Andy is it ok for groups like Media Matters to distort words of conservatives in order to make them look bad?”
Distortion is so terrible. Much better to just invent:
“You don’t like “homophobesâ€Â, but idolize Ahmedinejad.
You’re for “feminismâ€Â, but fellate the Islamicists on a daily basis.
You’re opposed to “Nazisâ€Â, but think admitted collaborator Soros is just swell.

shorter andy explanation:
an invincible ignorance coupled with an aggressive stupidity.
– Enjoy while you can andy. We Joos will dance on your Neo-Facist graves.
“You should try detailing some of it, actus, and we’ll see.”
Ahhh…..
Mr. Passive Voice himself.
Tired of boring Patterico, dicksneeze?
– Hmmm…the haters are out in force today, but then its Sunday, so they have no place else to go. Hope somebody brought the troll disinfectant.
Is there a distant star system somewhere that this statement is controversial?
You STILL haven’t bothered to actually deny that you have espoused these positions in the past, I notice.
But spin away, it’s good exercise, I hear.
“We Joos will dance on your Neo-Facist graves.”
Lets all sing along:
Its an odd one, but it seems like you’re the only one I can understand Big Bang.
“You STILL haven’t bothered to actually deny that you have espoused these positions in the past, I notice.”
I did call it an invention. Notice? But no, in fact, I have not specifically denied fellating Islamicists on a daily basis. Hmmmm.
And the Rox pull ahead 4-1 in the 8th, likely forcing a playoff game with the Padres.
Meanwhile, actus manages to dance while standing perfectly still. Bravo.
– Your retoric doesn’t impress me andy. We’ve been dealing with closet bigots like yourself for mellenia. But then you already knew that, and its really not myself you’re spouting your hateful garbage for is it. Unfortunately for you, and every vicious petty Facist movement before you, the flaw is always in thinking that everyone else is stupid. Until you can give up that fatal line of thinking you are doomed to yet another failure. Trying to skew the narrative, and bury the truth is a good effort, but not nearly enough in the end.
The Ford Foundation gets a bit of a giggle out of funding organizations that urge boycotts on Israel and whatnot, and then decrying them.

Darleen, you’ve proven my point:
You are no doubt aware of how DC mayoral (white) staff member David Howard lost his job for using that word I think a majority of the residents of the District do indeed believe that, or at least believe that everyone else does, and that failing to vocally agree with them is itself “racism” (or Uncle-Tom-ism for a black person who dares to reject The Narrative). White people simply aren’t allowed to define what they mean when a member (in good standing — Oreos don’t count) of a Protected Minority decides they mean something else.
Rob, I’m not joking:
I’m not aware of any research on the matter. I suspect that the phrase “white collar crime” does indeed have subliminal racial overtones for an awful lot of the minority voters it’s aimed at. This isn’t me projecting a racist belief, it’s being cynical about how politicians use words to subtly suggest things without actually saying them. It’s a slimy trick, because what isn’t said can’t be refuted, but it still gets its desired effect in the minds of the voters who have been taught all their lives that white people are keeping them down and get away with crimes.
Actually, no, you didn’t. You averred that it was easier to invent than to distort, which is not the same thing.
And yet you have not managed to either deny any of those positions, or that you have defended them in the past. Afraid that proof would be too easy to find, or just trying to spin your way out of that embarrassing bind you’re in?
Look, the opposite of “white collar” is NOT “black collar”, no matter how racist you try to make it sound. And you look like an idiot trying to make the phrase sound like it is just another part of the subconscious racism that only white people have.
Have you ever held a job where you didn’t have to wear a plastic badge with your name Dyno-labelled onto it?
–“I suspect that the phrase “white collar crime†does indeed have subliminal racial overtones for an awful lot of the minority voters it’s aimed at. This isn’t me projecting a racist belief, it’s being cynical about how politicians use words to subtly suggest things without actually saying them.”–
You’re wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Quit. It has NOTHING to do with race. Merely because the description of an American working class has “white” in it does not have anything to do with race, color, or creed. Face it, your projection aside, IT, with it being the statement “White Collar”, has nothing to do with the race of the person alluded to. Ever. If a black man commits fraud while working in an accounting office, it’s still a “white collar” crime. If a white man steals car parts while working in an auto body shop, it’s a “blue collar” crime. Period, end of story.
Sheesh.
Speaking of closet bigots and drive-by logic, actard, please invite Professor Cancer by. He needs the traffic.
“You averred that it was easier to invent than to distort, which is not the same thing.”
Then I gave the example of such an invention. How else did you understand the “:” at the end? Did you read it niggardly?
“And yet you have not managed to either deny any of those positions, or that you have defended them in the past.”
You are indeed right. I continue to not specifically deny that I fellate Islamists daily. Quite a bind you’ve caught me in.
Congrats to the Rox. One more to go.
– At the point where the Lefturds get so desperate they start trying to even change conventional usage, clutching at any Feckless straw they can grasp in order to hang on to their racist positions, I think its time to just tell them to fuck off. They are simply not a serious political group to debate anymore. Not that they ever really were, but at this point its just pure lunacy.
– If they think they can just suddenly jump up and invent a new meaning for a phrase as old as WWII and people are going to buy that, let alone accept the bullshit meaning they want to hang on it, “desperation” is the only word I can think of to describe their idiocies. This has about as much chance at success as Britney’s 15th comeback.
Huh. Coincidentally enough, there’s a 60 Minutes piece airing with Steve Kroft interviewing Clarence Thomas. They’re doing some “walk down memory lane” bits, and they were just in what was, in Thomas’ youth, the black library. Thomas called it “a haven from the rest of what was out there”
For shame! You guys are being meaner to poor little andy than Bollinger was to poor little Amanothernutjob. No wonder he wants nuclear weapons!
B-but he doesn’t want nukes. He even said so and everything!
No, I’m suggesting that leftists use it to tap into racial programming that ‘downtrodden minorities’ have. I don’t know how more clear I can make this: Their Narrative does not allow for Dead White Men to decide what words mean, even if those words have meant those things for centuries. Everything you say can and will be used against you in the court of public opinion. It will be quoted out of context. When a word has multiple dictionary definitions, the one you meant is irrelevant, even if you specify the meaning*. If they can’t think of anything else, they’ll pull out the handy “code word” ploy (“States’ rights” is a code word for racist policies).
The one that can be used as a club to beat you over the head will be used. Even if there isn’t a dictionary definition to hang you, if the word happens to sound like something that pisses off minority voters, then that’s what they’ll use to hang you.
The thing that’s insidious about the phrase “white collar crime” is that the dictionary meaning does not have any overt racial significance at all, so your BS detector is unlikely to pick it up. Instead, the emotional loading of the phrase sneaks into the subconscious, and becomes part of the emotional reaction, without ever being consciously vetted.
Leftists are masters of emotional manipulation; it’s the most powerful tool they have.
Monster – Guess which side is continuing to use racial programming to perpetuate divisions in society as a means of hanging on to power – power through the electorate and power through spending. The right is more interested in eliminating those divisions yet gets called racist. Up is down.
But don’t you see? Rush hates the military…and blacks, and hispanics, and gays, and kittens, and sunlight!!! He rapes Dominican children. It’s true! I read it on Media Matters.
Spin away, but the undefended and undenied descriptions of your positions continue to stand on their own, and you continue to look ever-more-desperate in your attempts at deflecting the topic away from your ongoing defense of the indefensible.
Once more, just so we’re clear (note the appearance of the colon, a body part with which I am sure you are intimately familiar from your up-close daily inspections):
You don’t like “homophobesâ€Â, but idolize Ahmedinejad.
You’re for “feminismâ€Â, but fellate the Islamicists on a daily basis.
You’re opposed to “Nazisâ€Â, but think admitted collaborator Soros is just swell.
You hate “racistsâ€Â, while believing that minorities are incapable of academic achievement without special concessions.
So far the only comment you have made is that you “continue to not specifically deny that I fellate Islamists daily”.
Is there anything else to which you would prefer to “not specifically deny”? A preference for bashing the troops? A penchant for sedition? Or just a general anti-American trend inherited from your grandmother and her “old man”?
You’re among… well, not friends, but people who already know the answers. And the first step in solving a problem is in admitting that the problem exists. Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt, y’know…
“little peccodillo”
That’s like a buff, pumped armadillo … with change? Right?
Drumwaster, you will never get andy to admit he wants nuclear weapons.
This is all of a piece with the “studies” that show conservatism as mental illness or that liberals read more, etc. Lefties apparently cannot believe that honest, intelligent, informed, well-meaning people can disagree with them.
It is rare to read or listen to any lefty commentator who will grant that his ideological opponents come by their views honestly. Even outside the fever swamps of the KosKids respectable pundits of the left invariably attribute these differences to flaw of character, lack of knowledge or some nefarious purpose. Starting with that conclusion it almost necessarily leads to distortions of the words of conservatives as a way of justifying their own feelings of those on the other side.
I know. It’s just fun watching him squirm. There’s just nothing on TV, y’know?
“I know. It’s just fun watching him squirm. There’s just nothing on TV, y’know?”
Did you not read this:
“Then I gave the example of such an invention. How else did you understand the “:†at the end? Did you read it niggardly?”
What do you make of that?
“your ongoing defense of the indefensible.”
Soros the brownshirt. Great stuff.
“A penchant for sedition”
Ooh. This one is new.
O’Reilly hates MediaMatters because David Brock is ghey. It really all does come down teh but seks.
Gays are a holy abomination; blacks are a tinctural aberration. For the love of godiness, Jeff must be blown, and decisively.
I forgot about the tincture.
What are black gays?
oh andy

Cynn – Don’t forget about the Mexicans or those awful evangelical vegans.

Andy, run away, quickly. The Protein Wisdom rattling and humming taffy machine is cranking up to speed and it will soon twist your words into such silliness, Darleen will start to mae sense.
They don’t like people like you, Andy. Run away.
I like watermelon best.
But you have to brush real good after.
– Justice Thomas “gets it”. Listening to him relate a life well lived should be required classes on every School campus in America.
“What say you of people who make commoncause with Hamas?”
I suppose it would depend on why they do it.
OMG! MASONS!!!! game ovah!
I was frankly suprised by Clarence Thomas on 60 minutes. He boosted his authority in a major way. Well done.
andy –
Was 9-11 and inside job?
– andy – you wouldn’t no the first thing about masonry if it bit you on your young ass. And if reading what you think is a scathing BS piece in any media trashrag is where you think you’re educating yourself about the subject, you’re not just a glandular young turk, you trully are dumb as a stump. You seem to be hell bent on raising “self absorbded blockhead” to an art form. Good luck Jacko, you’re going to need it. Badly.
I mean, if you buy the Freemasons woo-woo, then 9-11 Trooferism is usually right next door. Waiting.
oh, he’ll disappoint you tomorrow, I’m sure. ;D
“Was 9-11 and inside job?”
Inside al-qaeda.
“I mean, if you buy the Freemasons woo-woo, then 9-11 Trooferism is usually right next door. Waiting.”
I’m more buying the UPI article on that page. Here’s another link to the same UPI article.
You guys did notice that it was a UPI article right?
Why are you guys trying to reason with andy? He/she never reasoned him/herself into those positions in the first place.
– “She is a good reporter. I don’t mean to harm her reputation saying that with her peers, but she’s a good reporter.”
– Sad what the Leftloons have done to the normal narrative in our country, where its gotten to the point that any praise for an honest presentation of Conservative ideas needs to be paraphrased with an apology because of the stupidity of a persons peers. So much for the “caring” Progressives. They’d character assassinate their own mothers for political gain. the very definition of “fanaticism”.
and yet, no link to the actual UPI article itself. hmmmmm.
I make of it that you are avoiding the question. You certainly try to give the impression of answering without actually committing to any actual position. These are also known as “weasel words”, favored among liberal politicians when confronted with their voting record.
You have been accused of certain acts and attitudes.
You have said that it is easier to invent than it is to distort, then listed the accusations against you as though they were actually connected with “inventing” anything, much less “distorting”, yet you have never answered the point.
You are using all the tricks you have to dodge the issue, and yet you are not getting away with it. Frustrating, isn’t it?
Care to actually show the world that you have a pair by answering the questions?
Oh, and do you personally support Hamas?
“and yet, no link to the actual UPI article itself. hmmmmm.”
I searched their page for the title and got 53538 hits. Here it is on their page, after searching for the author. Did you really think that there was no such article?
“Oh, and do you personally support Hamas?”
No. But I am in the enviable position of not having to play realpolitik between them and Arafat.
“You have said that it is easier to invent than it is to distort, then listed the accusations against you as though they were actually connected with “inventing†anything, much less “distorting”
I’m saying they’re inventions.
“No. But I am in the enviable position of not having to play realpolitik between them and Arafat.”
Er…you do realize that Arafat is dead. For some time now, actually.
Actus, is that you in there?
That’s all Zionist lies, Major John. Arafat is alive and wandering the east in a personal quest to find enlightenment. He will return to Palestine when it needs him most to wield Excaliber against the joos.
“Er…you do realize that Arafat is dead. For some time now, actually.”
Its a reference to the begginings of Hamas.
Then, perhaps, andy, you should simply state so and not be so oblique. Hence my “acctus” question. If you are not actus, under a new name, then you should know that actus was a commenter famous for never addressing things head on – I think actus had been hit over the head with the Socratic Method too many times while in law school.
Heh.
Andy – Richard Sale, the author of the piece, quotes Larry Johnson as an intelligence expert in the article. You ought to know better than to try to slip that one by this crown. An author gullible enough to believe Johnson is an automatic hack an will write anything.
crowd not crown
daley,
No fair, I want a crown!
OK
Mandela is alive even though referenced rhetorically
Arafat is dead regardless of contextual gymnastics and other forms of intellectual torture
– Arafat was mentally dead for at least ten years before his eventual burial, but his loving wife would always have Banc’ Le Francias’.
“Then, perhaps, andy, you should simply state so and not be so oblique.”
Its the subject of the UPI links that we had been discussing.

TIM B.
At least, they all share the same IP address.
What’s wrong, timmyb? Can’t quit me?
Beat it. For the last time. Just go.
I’d be really careful citing UPI for much. Ever since their bankruptcy and reformation, they have been on a par with ITAR/TASS and the Weekly World News, as far as reliability goes. Try primary sources, rather than wire, if you can.
no,I’d already tracked it down, but considering your sources I wouldn’t be surprised if some kind of “correction” was being conveniently forgotten. Larry Johson doesn’t help either. that article keeps some interesting company…..
Aha! I smelled actus, and it was really timmyb?! I need to get my nose checked. Thanks Jeff – I think I’ll celebrate with another glass of Two Buck Chuck Shiraz!
Go Rox!
is he cicero in the pub too? just curious. that’s the vibe I get.
“The Protein Wisdom rattling and humming taffy machine is cranking up to speed and it will soon twist your words into such silliness…”
It is not us! They already come that way!
No, it wasn’t. You were the one who brought the UPI into this like it actually belonged anywhere else but the dustbin of ethical journalism.
Oh, and “inventions”, huh? You’re actually denying your earlier positions?
“Ever since their bankruptcy and reformation, they have been on a par with ITAR/TASS and the Weekly World News, as far as reliability goes.”
When was that? This article is from 2002. I think they’re moonie owned now.
1992?
now I have to add some words so it won’t eat my comment.
– Drumwaster – actus has been relegated to the dustbin of eternal a-dolt-hood. I feel so used. You can actually feel your IQ depressing steadily as you read his posts. I imagine at some point you’d begin killing small neighborhood animals.
oh, and according to their site they’ve been “moonie owned” since 2000.
I love sock puppets and fake handles.
They’re so…progressive.
– I understand some of the better trained ones can actually play the banjo…..
–Can’t quit me?–
None of the liberals can. It kind of reveals the pathetic state of affairs on the controlled homogenous echo chamber lefty sites. The socks so crave a debate their masters shield them from, they sneak away from the petri dish at the dogswap et al and adopt all kinds of fakery in order to find it.
Hilarious if you ask me.
– “…The socks so crave a debate …”
– They may crave watching it, but actually doing it, not so much. They may try on a different pair of shoes, but they never forget they’re socks.
BigBang
They are parroting for sure, but they’re forced to go outside of the confines of the comfy echo to test their narrative. That they have to venture out and in disguise, is telling.
andy is actus? Color me unsurprised since he can’t answer any question straight on.
Even if I granted that 30 odd years ago Israel aided Hamas as a counterbalance to the Egyptian buggerer Arafat’s PLO the aim was to keep the two nasty factions busy killing each other, thusly saving Jewish lives
Chomsky signs on with the Hamas view that Israel should be destroyed
OT
Heard some first hand on the Effigy prick in CA — actually I am not positive it’s new but it was juicy to me.
Basically the man is a 3rd rate lawyer who is a full scale anti-semite and it really started because his neighbor is jewish – he hated his neighbor and set out to show it.
The relater also said that there were other visible things this guy put up but the media would not report it – including a big “F U” sign in a window facing the Jewish neighbor.
Hate crime anyone?
I should say, I am really close in proximity to the Effigy incident and so I know that said relater is in really, really close proximity — so it’s not like a friend of a friend of a cousin kinda relay I was passing off there.
Chomsky – HAH
I thought it was hysterical that Juan Cole’s butt buddie Joseph Massad is out telling progressives that the only reason there are a few gays in the arab world is because the Western world brainwashed them!
HA HA HA — talk about a few gay liberal Juan lovers twisted up in a yoga pose trying to justify their love over that!
And remember that timmyb debuted here under the handle “neoconssuck”, so…I mean, it’s not as if you were expecting some sort of rational discourse, were you?
DNFTFT, already.
– Mea copa Slart….just so much fun pulling their little Troskyite wings and watching them drown in their own effuse.
Thanks for those 2 videos from the radio shows.
“people” no matter their political leanings should be really shocked at the new level of descent of the culture wars.
Is “the base” to which Olbermann, Media Matters, Soros’ Open Society Institute, moveon.org and other organizations he funds…really stupid enough to believe their distortions ?!
Geez Louise, seek professional help. But first google the phrase “unhealthy obsession.” Unless we’re talkinf some kind of issues and idealogy related man love. If so, well, good luck with that.
Oh, and one other thing … BUSTED!!!
It’s the First of October, I’m sipping coffee at the keyboard waiting for the furnace to kick on. Looking out my window the leaves on the big maple are starting to go yellow. In a couple weeks I’ll be raking all the beautiful little bastards. Actus and Tim B. are back for more…
Seasons change but people don’t.

One of the most amazing interviews I’ve seen.
Without going into a lot of unnecessary verbiage, he managed to lay out the stupidity of the black “victimization” schema that guys like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton hang their hats on (not to mention their incomes) And he really handed it to that brain dwarf Steve Kroft when Kroft tried to push on the “black” theme…he said something like…
(“Do you ask Antonin Scalia what it means to be a CATHOLIC AMERICAN ???!”
Not necessarily stupid — just willing. For the most part, those groups feed them things they already “know” — it reinforces their world-view, and makes it less likely they’ll wander off the reservation.
If you’re “willing” to believe that crapola, I’d have to insist there’s an element of stupid there as well.
Paraphrasing Gertrude Stein, did all liberals have unhappy childhoods ?
On a lighter note, you gotta watch this “comedy central” video

I wish I had you, to talk to
In Olberman’s defense, he has actually improved what I’ve come to call the Worst Sports Show On TV. I’m getting to the point where I’d pay PPV prices to get the coverage from Chris Berman and Tom Jackson.
