– This most excellant piece will no doubt be in the running for a top award at next summers “Classical invisble ensamble works”, particularly with the dancing monkey/moveon ad montage added…..pure genius….It was wise to opt against including the profile of Hillery screaming on the phone…..Just too distracting, and her color tones always clash…..
I read Ed Morrisey’s take onush’s speech and thought he was too hard on the Pres.
Bush’s speech reiterated Petraus’ main points and avoided any emotional grandstanding.
And, the way I see it, this was intentional: it was crucial that Bush make his own public statements on Iraq, while keeping the lime-light on Petraus, and Bush’s non-plussed delivery and steady intonation on Thursday night achieved this.
Hence, the good fit for your flat-lined “conceptual” mouth
Pundits want fireworks in their Presidential speeches, and when they don’t get it, they almost never fail to point it out.

A true artist would have found a way to fit the Hitler ‘stache in.
Because without it, you have once again pissed off Andrew Sullivan, Jeff.
Not that that is a bad thing.
Cool!
Invisible duncecap-Hitler-monkey!
Are you sure those eyes shouldn’t be closer together?

In my mind he always seems taller.
I don’t get it. What’s he laying his balls on the line for?
Two words, Joe: Halli. Burton.

Oh, OK. In that case, I don’t blame him – that Halli Burton is a real babe. Catwoman was definitely under-rated, you know. Not all movies need a plot.
You can’t fool me. That isn’t Bush. Where’s the smirk?
The shadows of our own desires stand between us and our better angels, and thus their brightness is eclipsed.
