Do You Know the Muffin' Men? [Dan Collins]

***Must credit Bride of Protein Wisdom!***

Packers stiff Eagles 16-13 due to two muffed punts. Had to write the headline before I see it elsewhere.

Resurgent Brewers: They’re not that good, and their division sucks (but don’t tell them that).

  1. The Falcons supine surrender to the Vikings will no doubt set off another round of dog puns. *sigh*

  2. JD says:

None of these games matter. All of the teams are fighting for the chance to lose to the Colts. ;-)

  3. Jeffersonian says:

I’ll remind you that the World Series champs came from that division in 2006.

  4. happyfeet says:

This is why we love him anyway I think.

  5. JD says:

Last year was a good year. The Cardinals won the World Series and the Colts won the Super Bowl. A repeat of both would be nice.

  6. Jeffersonian says:

The former doesn’t look promising, what with the Birds leaving everyone but the fucking equipment manager on base.

There is only one bride of protein wisdom, and if you’re talking to her without my knowing it, I’ll be throwing down a glove soon.

It’ll have to be a latex glove, though, because those are the only pairs I have around just now.

  8. JD says:

Jeffersonian – Could not agree more, yet we are still right in the middle of things, with the Cubs and the Brewers all set to puke all over themselves, as usual.

  9. I was at Miller Park Wednesday and watched the Brewers drub the Astros 14-2 and was at Lambeau Field today and watched the dismay on the faces of Eagles fans as I left the stadium. Life is fucking great. God I hate the Eagles.

  10. dRoast says:

Amen, C.C.! Hopefully we can see the csame expression on the Viking’s fans’ faces as well later this year.

  11. Sinner says:

I loves me some Packer win!

    Just don’t get used to it… (6-10)

  12. how. bout. them. COWBOYS!?

  13. JD says:

Beating the Giants and not covering the spread should be nothing worth celebrating in TX tonight. I guess a win is a win, but when the Giants put up 30+ against you, it points towards a couple areas of concern.

Plus, the Cowgirls have TO, so it is imperative for any real sports fan to despise them.

  14. um, okay. I don’t really do the technical stuff. just happy I got out of the theater early enough to miss some of the traffic and still catch the game on TV.

  15. JD says:

How did the performance go ?

  16. It’s gone well and got a nice review. anyway, I have to drive by the stadium every day.

  17. Obsterperous Infidel says:

How about them Cleveland Browns? Again, Dennis Kucinich AND that football team! Thoughts and prayers are always welcomed!

  18. Obstreperous Infidel says:

See above! I’m so frazzled, I’m not even Obstreperous anymore. I’m Obsterperous!

  19. BJTexs says:

OI: I did think about you when I saw that score, but I was too busy wallowing in the ineptness that was the Eagles.

And for the Brie Heads up thread: Don’t pound your chests too loudly as Saint Brett of the Perpetual Interceptions couldn’t produce a single offensive touchdown. If the Eagles have somebody who can … oh, I don’t know … catch a fraggin punt then that game isn’t even that close. Maybe they should not have anybody back and just let the ball bounce.

    6-10 and there again.
