Why Nigel Can’t Think [Dan Collins]

Of course, this would never happen here.

The curriculum in state schools in England has been stripped of its content and corrupted by political interference, according to a damning report by an influential, independent think-tank.

It warns of the educational apartheid opening up between the experience of pupils in the state sector and those at independent schools, which have refused to reduce academic content to make way for fashionable causes.

Critics of the ‘21st century’ science GCSEs argue that pupils learn more through practical lab work rather than science based on opinion

No major subject area has escaped the blight of political interference, according to the report published by Civitas.

“The traditional subject areas have been hijacked to promote fashionable causes such as gender awareness, the environment and anti-racism, while teachers are expected to help to achieve the Government’s social goals instead of imparting a body of academic knowledge to their students,” it says.

The report, The Corruption of the Curriculum, comes as the General Teaching Council, representing the teaching profession in England, calls for the scrapping of all national curriculum tests.

Another Christofascist:

The controversial author of books advocating an Islamic version of creationism claimed on Friday modern science had no monopoly on truth and insisted that his views were gaining ground.

In a bizarre news conference held aboard a luxury yacht off Istanbul’s northern Bosphorus shores near the mouth of the Black Sea, Adnan Oktar, also known by his pen-name Harun Yahya, said the evils of the world were a direct result of Darwinism.

“Communism, fascism, and Freemasons stand on the tenets of Darwinism, and the world power of capitalism stands on the same … Hitler and Mao were both Darwinists,” said Oktar, immaculately dressed in an egg-shell white suit, necktie and sporting a trim beard and combed-back hair.

Soon it will be revealed that Darwin was a Jooooooooooo.

I disagree with the premise of the title, but the practices outlined are all too familiar: hiding behind anonymity to fire off shots without fear of reprisal.

Holy crap!  I may be a lesbian!

Phew.  Susan Sarandon was on that list.  Dodged a bullet there.  Plus, they don’t seem to like beautiful black women much.  Queen Latifah?  C’mon.

Do I hear a Clockwork Orange bell ringing in the distance?

  2. Robert Speirs says:

And Darwin was a Jooo!  Er, wasn’t he?

Anyone advocating science and reason is now officially an islamophobe bigot.

  3. Mikey NTH says:

    Communism, fascism, and Freemasons…

You know, I should have seen that one coming.  But I didn’t.

  4. Great Mencken's Ghost! says:

Once again, the “progressives” prove that the one thing we learn from history is that they don’t learn from history.  Kauffman’s already spinning this as JC General turning “rethuglican” and his commenters are whipping up right wing conspiracies rather than face the fact that “their” movement routinely turns on its own.

I was prepared to feel sorry for SEK, but at this point, I’m inclined to let them devour each other.

    It’s really rather simple.

Any assertion of truth is intolerant of any other assertion of truth.  Our postmodern contemporary liberal masters teach total indifference to truth as prerequisite for admission to the Hall of Tolerance.  Naturally, you are an Islamphobe if you believe what you think to be the truth differs from the tenets of Islam.

Acception:  If you assert truth contradicting Christian assertions of truth, you are a valiant combatant in the struggle with paternalofascistophallism.

Vigorous condemnations of Christianist assertions of truth are required annually to retain membership in the Hall of Tolerance.

In a bizarre news conference held aboard a luxury yacht off Istanbul’s northern Bosphorus shores near the mouth of the Black Sea

Reuters describes this as “bizarre”, apparently because it was “aboard a luxury yacht”?  I guess limousine liberals are OK, but yachting Islamists aren’t?

Maybe it was bizarre because it was near former Caliphate Istanbul, which also is ancient Byzantium, capital of the Roman Empire before the bloody invasion of Islam into the region?

Or maybe it was because Oktar was

dressed in an egg-shell white suit, necktie and sporting a trim beard and combed-back hair

and is now embarking in a lively revival of Jewel of the Nile.

On the whole, I respect SEK, even as I may disagree with many of his stands. His visits here have been respectful and thoughtful.

I’m hoping his “rethuglican” title is an ironic poke at the Leftists attacking him

he clings to the belief that liberals at large just “don’t act that way”, but he still doesn’t realize the gaggle at JCG are Leftists, not liberals.

And they go after apostates like SEK like Islamists riot and murder when someone draws a cartoon of Muhammed.

Oh, dear God. The General has gone into full crybaby mode.

No Hillary Swank?  I don’t think those were real lesbians, Dan.

    Wow!  You’re right, BMoe!

  10. JHoward says:

Should parents have more of a say in the school curriculum?

Note the fallacy:  The correct question is if government schooling can justifiably exist as a replacement for the private sector and its myriad of principles, which it clearly is.

In the US, if the SCOTUS would ever rule PC the religion it also clearly is, that’d be the end of government schools.  That time has come.

Once again, when a philosophy becomes so entrenched as PC has in government schooling, the question is not one of the degrees of parental involvement—it’s offensive to even read such a thing because it implies returning a measure of rights taken without authority.  The question is what right government has establishing what amounts to religion.

Dan, posting that link, after the way that cow Christine treated your thread, was a truly Christian act.

    I think

tw activity85 what did you have in mind?

  12. SEK says:

Darleen, a quick search of Acephalous for instances of the word “Rethuglican” should allay your concerns.  (I’d link to it, but something in the Google link’s been blacklisted.)

  13. Jeffersonian says:

    Communism, fascism, and Freemasons…

I’ll be the Rotary Club is pissed that they’ve been written out of the Global Zionist Conspiracy.

Dan, posting that link, after the way that cow Christine treated your thread, was a truly Christian act.

That’s the most comments I’ve ever gotten for one of my threads.  So, you know . . . I’ll take it.

  15. Pablo says:

Scott, while I don’t doubt that you’ve got tongue in cheek, such a search only returns the one usage. Is that the point?

And yes, Google is blacklisted from the comments for some unknown reason.

I can’t help but be amazed at a blogger who doesn’t want people talking to and/or about him. I wonder if linking to him is harassment…

  16. daleyrocks says:

Are you saying that the General has turned into a Whiny Titty Baby, scurrying away like a cockroach when the spotlight turns back on his own conduct and that of his idiot blog army?

His original John Francois Kerry v2.0 non-apology was a liberal classic – While I don’t feel like I’ve done anything wrong, I apologize to those of you who may have misundertood what I did because you are too stupid to understand.

  17. B Moe says:

At least Jesus General site is finally funny.

  18. JD says:

Dan – Apparently, in order to make the Top 20 of the Lesbian List, you had to appear on the L-Word.  Though I can profess to have never watched this show, given the depth of talent shown in the photos, I may have to add it to my Tivo list.

  19. SEK says:

    Is that the point?

It is.  That’s his (and his commenters) rhetoric, not mine.

  20. memomachine says:

    Hmmmm.

What I find very interesting in all of this is something I remember from an early Issac Asimov set of books called The Foundation Series.

The money part is that the way Asimov described a significant clue as to whether or not the Galactic Empire was decaying was that an official thought it was perfectly acceptable to consider himself an expert on an issue simply because he’d read extensively on the subject rather than having done any original work himself.

The idea being that when derivatives of original work are considered to be the equal of original work, then that is a sign of social decay.

Which rather neatly describes the educational systems in the West evidently.

  21. JD says:

SEK – You are to be commended in your standing up to those bastards.  I rarely agree with any of your positions, but in this case, you were spot on.

  22. Paul Moore says:

And where was Tammy Bruce on this list?

  23. David R. Block says:

I see that some more investigation is due at your blog, SEK. I’ll do so this evening.

TW: increase16 The insanity level on this certainly has done just that.

  25. cardeblu says:

Went through the lesbo fav list, and it looks like it’s just the current list of celebs in any People Magazine, the kind practically anyone would think of as “beautiful” to some degree.

However, I must object to “her”, Amelie Mauresmo.  I’m sorry, but I want to see the chromosomal makeup of this person.  As an XX myself and definitely hetero, my first thought was “that’s a guy!!!” and not a very good looking one, either.  Now, maybe Amelie went through some strange hormonal changes, or just takes after her dad, or is the stereotypical jockette, but come on… I mean even Martina and Billie Jean looked like women to a certain degree.

On the other hand, with “glass53” maybe I really shouldn’t be throwing stones.

  26. cardeblu says:

BTW, Amelie is on the last page, #98.  That’s the pic that made me first think she’s a guy.

  27. Jeffersonian says:

  28. Great Mencken's Ghost! says:

    Cardebleu—AM is a lesbian trapped in a man’s body…

  29. CraigC says:

Damn, forty years ago Deneuve would have been number one. I spent many evenings as a teenager, er, thinking about her.

  30. furriskey says:

    Was she a lesbian?

I can easily see why a woman would want to sleep with another woman, but I have enough trouble understanding why a woman would want to sleep with a man to make the thought of a man wanting to sleep with a man truly incredible.

I’m not saying they can’t do it, just that aesthetically I don’t comprehend it.

Mauresmo. Yes. A puzzzle, but one I am happy to leave unsolved.

tw strength69. A magnificent artificial intelligence, truly.

  31. Seems like science is under attack all over the place.

It is amazing how far ‘liberalism’ has pushed the scientific community toward politics.  I long for the days when any idea was on the table no matter how foul it seemed to the sensibilities.  I guess I long for the day when reality made science what it was, not happy feelings.
