   It would be important for any senior State Department or Defense Department official tasked with maintaining the integrity and security of classified material and information to approach Shaha Riza — a Libyan national raised in Saudi Arabia — who was the “girlfriend” of the Deputy Secretary of Defense — as if she could be a spy.

   After reading the Clemon piece, my inclination ( & I accept that I have a warped mind, maybe because I was born in Egypt) is to agree that there are security implications in having someone’s girlfriend fast tracked into a secure area.

   On the other hand, those who think Wolfowitz is a Zionist Hawk should surely be encouraged by his tendresse for a Libyan maiden–

   I agree Dan – I’ve been hoping this would get more play here at PW. The media’s complicity in this tawdry eurotrash putsch is as stark an example of willfully damaging US interests abroad for partisan gain as it can get without Katie Couric strapping on a suicide vest.
