Non-representative commenters on moderated “progressive” website call for violence against Rove; website’s diva silent, waits for Glenn Greenwald to cook up some kind of ridiculous defense she’ll deem “brilliant” in exchange for, like, a really expensive watch or some such

We discussed this yesterday, did we not?  Eggs.  Omelets.  What is it you stupid neocons don’t understand about TOUGH LOVE, anyway?

(h/t Patterico and CJ Burch, who writes, “I hear the WaPo is considering another strong condemantion of LGF in response.” BECAUSE OF THE TU QUOQUENESS!)

Don’t sweat it guys, you know their hatred only makes me stronger….and hungry.  Anyone see the plate of Iraqi Orphan Souffle I was just grubbing on?  I just had it in my hands I know it’s around here somewhere.  I’d hate to let it get cold, it’s so hard to get a good souffle in this town.  No one wants to go the extra mile and get the good dark meat.  You know what they say “You can’t make a decent souffle without abducting, executing and butchering a brown baby”.

Why do I always get a mental image of the unhinged “prog” as a semi-balding enfeebled fellow with a Barney Fife-type build (albeit softer around the middle) and poor hygiene habits? Is it just me?

Nice to see the Left is still capable of constructive, reasonable dialog.

I know I find that it’s always easier to get your point across and get people to take you seriously when you’re lying down in a parking lot like a glorified speed bump, holding a giant-headed paper mache puppet.

On the bright side, Nancy Pelosi got to take a break from her Code Pink house warmers & experience first-hand what her supporters will become if they regain power & left unabated. Though I’d imagine the Syrians bath a lot more frequently & show better manners, after all they just keep their death threats to themselves or beat & mutilate their wives.

Funny how the left never seems to realize that the people actually doing what they claim Rove & Bush are, are the ones they are both intentionally & unintentionally supporting & verbally mimicking. I believe that the old adage is: the enemy, that’s my enemy, is better than a FRICKIN’ NEOCON BUSHBOT. HULIBURTON!!! PLAME WAS FRAMED!!!

I guess it could be worse, after all Pelosi could be home actually doing her jobs or making laws or something.

Don’t MAKE punkass marc come over there… (after getting Mandy’s permission, of course)

Oh, and its “semi-balding with a pony tail

    It’s all according to plan.

The AMAZINGLY COMPLEX plan of the far left Gramscian Whores to win ultimate victory by marginalizing themselves to the point where their activities are outside the public view and they can act with imputinty…

Mwu ha ha, mwu ha ha.

  7. Matt, Esq. says:

If I was a candidate for president, I’d start running TV ads in which they just put lists of these quotes up on the screen and a message “These are the people who are voting for Hilary this election season” and leave it at that.

I’ve really never seen so much threatened violence from the right- except maybe whats occasionally aimed at alpo- and for whatever reason, I just d idn’t feel murderous toward Clinton or any of his staff (even Hillary) during their tenure- did other people want to kill bill during that time or …

    Just a few fringe actors…..right?

  9. I just d idn’t feel murderous toward Clinton or any of his staff (even Hillary) during their tenure- did other people want to kill bill during that time or …

It wasn’t an unheard-of sentiment, but the big names didn’t coddle it. I don’t think you would have heard it expressed unchallenged on, say, Limbaugh’s show, and you wouldn’t have found Gingrich frequenting (or admitting he frequented) forums in which those sentiments were common.

I’ve always thought the Repubs should do exactly that. Post some of the gems from Kos and Huffington’s sites. They could do it just by comparing the things said on the Right about Elizabeth Edwards vice what’s been said on the Left about Tony Snow. I’m not naive enough to think that there aren’t some radical righty’s saying stupid things, but the Left seems to thrive on this stuff.

  11. Just saw this, via Instapundit, I think:

The Tennessee Center for Policy Research recently generated headlines when it announced that former Vice President Al Gore’s Nashville estate “devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours” of electricity in 2006, “more than 20 times the national average.”

This free-market think tank’s phones lit up when it analyzed Nashville Electric Service’s public records and identified an inconvenient gap between Gore’s conservationism and his energy consumption. The research center’s one-page press release was greeted with enough megawatts of hatred to power the South.

The quotes are pretty much par for the course for how the left treats the people it disagrees with. But it’s nice to see it getting some notice.

No, it’s not just you. Probably has something to do with this.

TW: Yes, let’s hope that 2008 mirrors the results94!

Not right to tick off evil Karl; you know; he’ll

send out the Peacekeepers (Farscpae reference).

I’m still trying to figure out the deal with

the Fox appointment. Well besides giving Kerry

a conniption fit; always good for a laugh. There’s

always a purpose to the madness. We put in Reich

to supervise the Chavez coup (when you have to cap

a left wing Castro disciple, and Islamic toadie,

you have to. . .) We put in Bolton, for the up

coming war in Iran (maybe it’ll be better with

Khalilzad; who we can’t forget was behind the

    Unocal pipeline through Afghanistan. Negroponte

for the UN vote on Iraq. Now Belgium’s financial

    clearing house (SWIFT) is no longer open to us;

so what is the purpose for Fox. Then again ala

‘24 he can be used as target for an Azeri-Iranian

    Al Queda plot. suggestions.

Isn’t that reason enough? Lurch finally takes an effective measure of revenge and then…not so much.

    Bwaahahahaha!

Karl get’s one over on them agin!

The left-wing blogosphere was abuzz earlier this week over a photo of White House adviser Karl Rove taken in a Chattanooga restaurant in February. Rove is seen carrying a folder with the word COPTIX on it — the name of a Chattanooga graphic design and web development company.

The “Wonkette” site called the picture “a crime scene” and said: “This proves without a doubt that Karl Rove is illegally running all the White House e-mail through a private company instead of the White House government servers which belong to the American people.”

It also referred to the administration’s “double-secret private communication system.” Daily Kos headlined: “Rove Personally Connected to E-mail Scandal” and said the picture “may help establish a timeline or provide ammunition for a subpoena.”

But it turns out the photo was an April Fool’s Day joke. Here’s the original on the right. There is no folder in Rove’s hand. Coptix Executive Vice President Josiah Roe says it was an “experiment” to illustrate how misinformation can filter upward and outward. He says all the bloggers failed to realize it was April Fool’s Day weekend. They also failed to notice the tip-off — that the image on the TV set in the corner was also fake — from the 1970’s TV show “Land of the Lost.”

The Land of the Lost reference had me rolling on the floor!

Nope, it’s not just you.  The whole Capital Beltway is lousy with guys like that in their bumpersticker-clad Subarus.

The female equivalent is middle-aged, white and way-uptight.  She gets behind the wheel of a late model Volvo decorated with a collection bumperstickers ranging from cat-enthusiasm to “my body, my choice”.  Not that there’s anyone likely to make her make a choice.  I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

  17. eLarson says:

Of course, the obverse of the Barney Fife coin is this guy.  (more at this link.)
