Internet Never Forgets [Dan Collins; UPDATE x3]

Academics ought to be getting used to this by now.  If you attempt to go to the original PDF, posted by the Department of African and African American Studies, you’ll find this:

Home › Error 404 – “Unable to Process Request”

We apologize for the inconvenience. Due to recent restructuring, we are unable to locate the requested page.We have been moving things around on our Web site, and the page you’re looking for may have a new address.

Using the search function and the terms “listening disaster March 29, 2006”, all prominent terms in the document, yields nothing.

But here‘s a Google-cached version of the document (thanks, BoZ).  And if you haven’t read it, you should, because it provides a wealth of ammunition.

One would think that this might be cause for substantial embarrassment.  I hope so.  I hope that people with the chops will screen-shoot this and post it all over the web.

As Pablo notes:

Not so long ago, a black man accused of sexual assault by a white woman would also find himself facing a prosecution in which the facts didn’t matter.

True.  And we’ve seen white people whose children have disappeared claim on various occasions that their abductors were black or hispanic, and when they’ve been caught out, they’ve been shamed and prosecuted, and those who swallowed their stories have been shamed as well.  And that’s how it ought to work in this case.  Here’s the preamble to the disappeared Duke-Durham document:

We are listening to our students. We’re also listening to the Durham community, to Duke staff, and to each other. Regardless of the

results of the police investigation, what is apparent everyday now is the anger and fear of many students who know themselves to be

objects of racism and sexism, who see illuminated in this moment’s extraordinary spotlight what they live with everyday. They know

that it isn’t just Duke, it isn’t everybody, and it isn’t just individuals making this disaster.

But it is a disaster nonetheless.

These students are shouting and whispering about what happened to this young woman and to themselves.

You got the disaster part right, idiots, but nothing else.  I expect that Pandagon will demonstrate how this has been an opportunity for personal growth and self-reflection.  This is Tawana Brawley bad, and these people are smeared with their own shite.

UPDATE: Jeebus, Mary and Joseph, Holloway’s got an appointment in the law school, too.  And this is probably insensitive, but I notice that her initials are KFC Holloway.

UPDATE x2: Here’s another good one, from Feministing., rejoined by this great comment from way back on April 23, 2006.

Natalia Antonova gets it, for the most part.  I don’t care about her subject position.  I assume that it’s valid.  I admire her regard for the truth.

UPDATE x3:  You can check out the logical stylings of commenter Sylvia at Maguire’s (though I wish Clarice hadn’t called the stripper a whore, as it’s slanderous to strippers and whores to be associated with this creature).

Typical leftist morons – spout a bunch of tripe and hate, and then when you’re shown to be wrong, pretend you never wrote or said it.

I took screencaptures from every possible angle (with the Google cache banner at the top) and also shots with a smaller font sive so that the text could fit in one shot.

Let ‘em try to scrub it.

The question now becomes, will the Left claim they were duped?  Surely this is the biggest blow to entrenched leftist “feminist” dogma in recent memory and people need to be asking how and why it happened.  Along with composing Boxer’s bogus defense, that is.

If duped, will the Left reform and throw out the elites who duped them?  If not, what will they use now to disguise their disfigured morality?

The case of the amazing disappearing leftist entablishmentarian bullshit only confirms that being duped, they won’t reform.  They’re already concealing their disfigurement, even as all the vaginaist bloggers are theirs by their silence.

Therefore it’s shameless, and it’s pathological.

Undoubtedly a bad week to be a militant feminist.

And yes, that is me debating sylvia. I do it not so much to change her little mind, but to prove a bigger point. Many have said, “just let it go to trial, if the evidence of the crime is so weak, the boys will be exonerated.” I think that sylvia proves that to be a dangerous fallacy. All you would need is one “sylvia” on the jury, and you could be “screwed”.

    From the PDF

This is not a different experience for us here at Duke University. We go to class with racist classmates, we go to gym with people who are racists….It’s part of the experience.

Guess what, honey? I went to class with people who, if they knew I was Christian, would have hated my everlasting guts. They’d sit there and talk about how religion was responsible for All The World’s Ills and how belief in God is tantamount to mental illness.

Here’s the thing: until we live in a world in which we all look, think, talk, and believe alike, there will be people in this world who will dislike or even openly hate you. Grow up. It’s part of life.

  5. feh, I don’t know what kind of mean world you live in dicentra, but everyone loves me. my mom told me so. ;D

Hmmmmmm.  There seems to be strong evidence (including some in her own statements) that in addition to dancing and stripping, the ‘accuser’ had ‘appointments’ with men in hotel rooms in which sex and money were exchanged.  (I am, of course, presuming that she got the money.) What else would you call her? Working girl?  Sure.  Busy, maybe.

I still want her to get audited by the IRS.  Especially one of those audits where they check how much you spend and then you gotta prove where the money came from.

I think it was Napolean who said “all women are whores, except my mother.” He was wrong about his mother….
