Chuck Hagel Smacks Lieberman: Questions his competency

Re Johnson comment: not nice, and I wish you hadn’t said it.
All the Roberts are on your case. Not cool, bro.
So, it is one thing to question someone’s competency on national television because he differs from one’s opinion on the war, and another to question one’s competency because he’s suffered a severe brain hemorrhage?
I wish to be clear: I hope that Sen. Johnson is restored fully and speedily to his family, friends, and constituents, and to Congress. Hagel’s remarks, though, show typically little self-awareness.
I believe you. It’s just a little…squicky, to make jokes based on a guy who’s lying in a hospital bed, with his family hoping that he’s not going to die today.
(Jeff could get away with it. But Jeff is a GENIUS.)
I’m sorry to have offended you guys, but it’s not a joke. I know it seems that way, but I’m often at my most serious when I’m apparently facetious, and vice-versa.
OK. No worries.
(“Marge? Call ops and tell them to cancel the hit on Collins.”)
You mean Hagel hasn’t had a stroke?
Somebody shove Hagel back into the time machine and set it for his home era – 1920s, next stop.
I’d question Hagel’s competency, but I live in the state that elected Schumer and Hillary WhateverNamePollsBest.
