Cindy Sheehan, I will Live to 1000 [Dan Collins]

From Armymarinemom at Free Republic:

On site report from Kristinn at a Cindy Sheehan anti war rally being held at the Independence Mall outside the Constitution Center. ,

Cindy said that she is determined t not only wants to see George Bush impeached but she wants to see him tried for Crimes Against Humanity. She states is so determined to see this done she says she will live for 1000 years. She went further by saying that even if she were involved in a fiery plane crash she would walk out alive just to see this done.

Kristinn yelled out to her as she was leaving the stage that the Iraqi’s have a memorial to the victims of terrorism saying that Freedom Isn’t Free. Cindy got back on the stage to say of course freedom is free, if it wasn’t it would be called expensivedom.

Two thoughts:

1) This would make a gnarly horror movie plot

2) One-one thousand, Two-one thousand, Three . . . .

I have said it before and I’ll say it again: Lleave off Sheehan because you shame yourself.  Plain and simple.  You are offhandedly buying into her spiel, while simultaneously fueling the victim machine.  What is is with you repugs?  Am I fulminating about the Foleys et. al. who have disgraced you?  No!  Why?  They’re just people.  Get over yourselves, please.

  2. cynn says:

Frankly, Pat Tillman’s family has the right (and responsibility) to be supremely hacked off.  Talk about a casualty.

  3. Joe says:

Casey Sheehan was a hero and a patriot and that is all we need to know.  Cindy Sheehan deserves thanks for having a good son.

She was apparently always a little off, but his death pushed her over the edge.  I feel sorry for her and really believe she is mentally unwell.

  4. ThomasD says:

Exercising our expensivedoms are we cynn?  Oh wait, somebody else is paying for this site, so in your case maybe it really is freedom.

  5. B Moe says:

That was fucking beautiful, Cynn.  Nothing sums up leftist thought better than those two posts.

  6. cynn says:

Yeah, I guess it’s leftism at its best to suggest that some cases ae more interesting than others.  Keep up your dumbeat.

  7. Big Bang hunter says:

    – Actually Cindy it is expensivedom, when kooks like you, who should be locked up for your own safety, can say the kind of crap you do at the expense of the people who fight and die for you.

    – At this point theres no doubt left that shes a bitter vex, that simply wants to say as many hateful words at public gatherings as she can, because she blames America, not the Jihadists, for her sons death.

    – And don’t think it’s just Bush. She unleashes her venum on any official, Right or Left, she gets a chance to, and the fucked up press follows her around like puppy dogs lapping it up.

That’s all you need to know right there.  Has there ever been a more reliable news source than LGF?  Maybe goat entrails.

  9. cynn says:

I agreee with you, Big Bang Hunter.  You may be taking a swipe at ne; I can’t tell.  My point has always been that Sheehan is overcome with grief, and is lashing out blindly.  She has been latched onto by opportunists.  She will say the kind of shit she does because I can tell you my grandma said the same thing when one of my cousins died in VietNam.  She simply could not reconcile anything, and reverted to comparing the whole thing to WWII.  He was supposed to come home any day—he never did.

Please.  Let go of Sheehan.  Look at Tillman, if you want.

  10. heet says:

Christ, I’m slipping… The freepers are certainly a cut above LGF.

    BECAUSE OF THE HYPOCRISY!!!!!!

  12. cynn says:

That wasn’t my point.  But if you don’t care……

I’m not all about the snotty.

  13. Big Bang hunter says:

No swipes at you cynn, covert or otherwise. Just calling it the way I see it.

    – And heet. Put a cork in it. You’re shooting Zell Miller spitballs….

  14. cubanbob says:

Cynn close but no cigar. To keep raging on Foley would also mean fessing up to owning Gerry Studs and Barney Franks which is why I suspect your giving him a pass.

As for Sheehan being demented with grief, that is close to the mark. However you overlook that she was a lefty nut long before her son died. I suspect what drove off the cliff is that not only did her son die, but he died for a cause she hated, a cause that he believed in him. What is sick is the press and the lefties exploiting her.

Why heet is ranting about LGF is beyond me, all he does is excerpt clips from the MSM. Unless he is saying the MSM is full of bullsh**. Heet is that what your trying to articulate?

  15. Joe says:

Why give Cindy Sheehan any attention? She is a lunatic.  Her family hates her, her son is dead.

Her son was a hero and even though she belittles and betrays what he died for, out of respect for him I still feel sorry for her.  She is nothing and lives only for attention.  Ignore her.

  16. wishbone says:

Here’s the difference, cynn–no one here will take up for Foley.

Understand?  Didn’t think so.  Perhaps you should stop the Q-tip when it meets resistance.

But things are looking up for your side.  Nancy Pelosi and Jack Murtha in front of the tv cameras for two years.  Yep, that has permanent majority written all over it.

  17. MayBee says:

I don’t understand why cynn is handing out permission to talk about Tillman but not Sheehan.

But hey, telling us “repugs” we are shaming ourselves is quite compelling.

  18. Karl says:

Dan… Dan Rather?  Is that you?

    Hatred, incohereance and cognitive dissonence.

Great package you got going there.

  20. RiverCocytus says:

cynn, starting off with a purely emotional argument (leave poor cindy alone) is only bound to irritate and inspire the PW folks to dogpile you.

Cindy is not in mourning anymore– her original grief may have moved her to this level of insanity, but she’s still in control of her own actions as far as the society is concerned.

She is a living object lesson—What not to do. As such news about her latest charade is always fair game. We need to be reminded, lest we forget, how dishonest the whole game is.

If she wants to be left alone she should be private about it.

Her public actions are all game, so long as someone is willing to cover them.

She abuses the death of her son to advance collectivist, marxist nonsense. But she’s a total loon. She needs maximum publicity so people remember how mad real leftists are.

Your appeals fall on deaf ears, cynn. For them to work we’d actually have to CARE about Cindy, which given the situation is nigh impossible.

Apologies if I offend, but that is, I believe, the whole of the matter.

  21. Techie says:

I’d think that Dan Rather might dispute that swipe at LGF……

  22. Pablo says:

That’s all you need to know right there.  Has there ever been a more reliable news source than LGF?

Has there? Charles is pretty damned good and when he misses he corrects quickly. Feel free to expand on your thesis with a few data points, heet.

  23. Pablo says:

I’d think that Dan Rather might dispute that swipe at LGF……

    Adnan Hajj, too.

  24. heet says:

LGF and FreeRepublic.  Sure.  Here’s a data point for you : reading LGF for news and analysis might lead one to believe the Bush-supporting right-wing blogosphere was relevant.

Re: Dan Rather… Take a poll of Americans and find out who is more reliable, 1) Dan Rather or 2) a rightwing website that most nobody has heard of.  Sure, most all of them won’t know Dan is even retired but they sure as fuck won’t care about LGF/FR.

  25. mojo says:

    Expensivedom?…

    Sheesh.

  26. McGehee says:

Let’s see how Heet’s claim works if inverted…

Here’s a data point for you : watching “The Daily Show” for news and analysis might lead one to believe the Bush-hating left-wing media was relevant.

    Hmmm…

  27. TomB says:

    Pablo asks:

Has there? Charles is pretty damned good and when he misses he corrects quickly. Feel free to expand on your thesis with a few data points, heet.

    To which heet “replies”:

LGF and FreeRepublic.  Sure.  Here’s a data point for you : reading LGF for news and analysis might lead one to believe the Bush-supporting right-wing blogosphere was relevant.

Uh, there’s no “data point” there, sparky…

Re: Dan Rather… Take a poll of Americans and find out who is more reliable

Ah yes, the true measure of truth, take a poll.

  28. heet says:

Uh, there’s no “data point” there, sparky…

Probably because it was snark.  Anyone who honestly believes LGF/FR are reliable sources of news and analysis isn’t a serious person and doesn’t deserve a serious answer.

Ah yes, the true measure of truth, take a poll.

Fine, ask those in government, finance or business.  Anyone in a position of power.  Do you think anyone who makes decisions based on current events uses LGF/FR?  The denial is shocking over here…

  29. TomB says:

Anyone who honestly believes LGF/FR are reliable sources of news and analysis isn’t a serious person and doesn’t deserve a serious answer.

Since when has LGF and FR become primarily “sources”? Both sites usually post links to news articles. If you actually visited those sites, you’d realize that.

Fine, ask those in government, finance or business.  Anyone in a position of power.  Do you think anyone who makes decisions based on current events uses LGF/FR?  The denial is shocking over here…

Why should I ask ANYBODY who or what they use to get their information?  This is just a continuation of your juvenille “take a poll” mentality. I don’t care about what anyone else thinks, and I don’t rely on one or two places to get my news. Nor do I rely on “consensus”.

You REALLY need to start thinking for yourself kiddo, and not have others do it for you.

  30. Paul Zrimsek says:

Do you think anyone who makes decisions based on current events uses LGF/FR?

Nah, they all use the comment section at Protein Wisdom. I think the results speak for themselves!

  31. B Moe says:

Anyone who honestly believes LGF/FR are reliable sources of news and analysis isn’t a serious person and doesn’t deserve a serious answer.

What about someone who accuses two popular blogs of dishonesty but when questioned can’t come up with one example?  How serious should we consider them?

For what it is worth, the owners of the company I work for are big fans of Free Republic and LGF.

  32. heet says:

Since when has LGF and FR become primarily “sources”?

Since this site linked to them for “on the spot super-keen journalism”.  As a collector of wacko-fringe news stories and “opinion” pieces, those sites are also great.  I wouldn’t crow too loudly about that either.

And lecturing me about thinking for myself in this echo-chamber is utterly laughable.  I feel like I need to insert some quarters every time I stop by this circle jerk.

This lesson is over, boys.  Use soap and a rag when you clean up.  The high protein content of spooge makes it hard to wipe off of surfaces.

  33. Dan Collins says:

Yeah, you’d probably hang around getting handjobs from the sockpuppets at Greenwald’s, heet.  Bring vaseline.

  34. Dan Collins says:

Or ARE they handjobs? big surprise

  35. mojo says:

You guys realize that you’re arguing with someone who can’t spell “heat”, right?

    Just checking. Carry on.

  36. B Moe says:

This lesson is over, boys.  Use soap and a rag when you clean up.  The high protein content of spooge makes it hard to wipe off of surfaces.

Stop right there!  You forgot to mention Mom’s basement, Cheetoes or typing one-handed!  You aren’t finished yet, young man!

  37. mishu says:

While ‘heet’ (the idiot poster, not the gasoline additive) makes masturbation jokes about LGF, he probably drools over Keith Olberman’s pantsless immitation of Edward R Murrow. Ever notice that you don’t see old Keith below the waist?

tw: nothing44. You guessed it Professor Turing. He’s got nothing on below the desk.

  38. eLarson says:

    It’s a person who can’t spell “heat”?

I figured it was a bottle of fuel additive on an Exxon station shelf ranting away about sites it never visits.

Was hoping a snap-a-lope might come along and talk some sense into it, too.

    Oh well.

  39. cynn says:

OK, I am so wrong.  Grind and cook Cindy Sheehan under your nasty stilletto.  Hope you enjoy the ensiung barbeque.  Please use extra garlic salt; you’ll need it.

  40. cynn says:

sorry, that was the snootiness emerging.  I notice two things:  You have nothing to say regarding Pat Tillman; and you have a new troll hot on your collective butts.  Sweet.  Bigger challenges are coming your way, my warmongeromg friends.

  41. cynn says:

naturally I misspelled “warmongering” Jusr me

  42. sorry, that was the snootiness emerging.

    Emerging?  Heh.
