al Qaeda links in Gaza: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst

Jawa Report emails:

I just learned that the Global Islamic Media Front–an al Qaeda propaganda outlet–has released documentation of the two Fox News hostages. The message and vid were the same ones you saw yesterday, with the addition of photo IDs—including Centanni’s Congressional press pass.

Centanni’s pass may be why this group of thugs believes his hostage taking could actually exert leverage, and the speculations that it was his Fox affiliation are probably overblown […].

With GIMFs involvement, it is now almost certain that an al Qaeda group is behind this–though they are probably of the 3.0 variety, which means they are not under the direct control of the leadership but are “fellow travellers”. It also means that they look to Abu Musab al Zarqawi as their inspiration, since GIMF was founded as an offshoot of al Qaeda in Iraq under Zarqawi’s leadership.

I won’t even mention what the Zarqawi link implies.

Rusty lays out the unhappy specifics here.

As I noted in a return email, I had this sinking feeling yesterday when the letters were released. Still, until there is some definitive word, keep directing your thoughts and prayers the hostages’ way.

And should the worst come to pass, don’t forget to spit a few times at that lifesize cutout of Bob Laurence I might just start selling in my Cafe Press store.

Michelle Malkin has more. See also, Jules Crittenden.

Bob Lawrence – proving that feces can spontaneously assume human form…and type!

  2. Sidewinder says:

Feces has chunks of Bob Lawrence in its stool.

  3. Darleen says:

I hate to say it, but yesterday when I said I found the terrorists demands troubling because they were so ridiculous (there are approx 172,000 moslems of one form or another in Fed prisons alone).

They obviously set them knowing we couldn’t possibly meet them; hence we will be “at fault” for any harm to Centanni and Wiig.

Christ, I’m hoping the PA hasn’t lost one last erg of a sense of self-preservation and gets to these guys before anything happens …

    This is bad. Very bad.

  4. WAM says:

Did Bob Laurence say “screw ‘em” yet? He may develop a kult following.

  5. TODD says:

I had the feelings in my gut as well as I watched live on Fox yesterday morning. especially with the 72 hour deadline. In the past we have seen what that means. Hopes and prayers for the two captives…

You know, if Israel can seal off the borders I say let them have them, drop the meanest fucking 100,000 of them right in the middle of Gaza.

Tell me, where was Zarqawi when we invaded Iraq? Baghdad, wasn’t it? Nope, no connection to global jihad/al-Qaeda there. Nor in Gaza…

It’s all just one war, ladies and gents.

  8. Rusty. says:

Moe. Why do you think the Israel left Gaza? All of Gaza is a free fire zone. The Israelis can lob anything they want over the wall and not worry about hitting a friendly.

It’s all just one war, ladies and gents.

Something the attention defficit left still has trouble grasping.

At the risk of being hypocritical; prayers are out for the hostages and their families.

  9. My guess is these guys were two palestinian thugs who wanted to be with the big boys in Hamas and Hezbollah, so they nabbed a couple of hated Fox journalists. When they got to the Hamas he man Jooo haters club, the Hamas guys freaked out. “you captured journalists? You idiots, nobody cares if you grab a Jew except the Israelis, but the world will hate us if we kidnap reporters! Get out of here!”

So they went off and made their own club, which hooked up with al`Qaeda.

I’m so sick of this Islamofascist horseshit. Not that this event is really the worst, it’s just the last straw I guess. Or maybe it’s the beer talking.

Let me just put it like this: When I was a kid I played a lot of football, horse, tag, etc with all the kids on my block. There were these two brothers that consistently cheated, bent rules, bullied, and all that shit during these games. Eventually, my brother and I got tired of that BS, so we politely invited them over into our front yard for some Wrestlemania. We whooped those weasely bastards but good, and you can bet that was the last time they ever played outside.

I guess what I’m saying is, it’s time for a little Wrestlemania.

You laugh, but to some of our liberal friends, that will be exactly the way they’ll see it.

Nor would I be surprised to see on some more obscure far left whacko blog some posting saying that if Messrs Centanni and Wiig are killed, it’ll be just desserts for Fox News supporting the war against the Islamist fascists.

I got ten grand says such a thing’s already been posted somewhere in moonbatland…

  13. anonymous says:

That’s why “GOD” made Google, 6Gun.

So, why don’t you just go rustle up that quote from moonbatland.

    I’ll wait here.

How did we get to the point where our culture begets “TV critics”? Yes, someone pays Bob Laurence. To tell others what to think about TELEVISION.

  15. Dan Collins says:

O, che bella donna, Beatrice degli angeli. Veramente ha letto Il Paradiso nel toscano di Dante? Ha capito bene delle relazione tra la justizia ed l’amor divino?

Only if you pay rent like the rest of us.

Ma quello e di Virgilio, nel Inferno. Quali son gli angeli per se di questo luogo?

Qua? Qua l’angeli sarebbero chiunque mi portano un bel panino. A me, mi piace i piselli e prosciutto. Ma, piselli freschi da giardino, mi capisce? Quelli congelati non mi piacino a fatto.

Virgilio fu un stronzo di che Dante abbia fatto la bella figura. Chi se ne frega di quella Beatrice?

Boh, mi porta il panino, o no?

  26. Dan Collins says:

  27. Darleen says:

Ok…anony, in English, take a gander at the this

Only if they intend to pin medals on the abductees for their stellar service in the destruction of America.

Honestly, those people are on the same side. Why the hell would Al Qaeda be interested in kidnapping them? They’d want them to keep doing their jobs.

    Oh, well.

I have absolutely zero concern for their safety.

Maybe Murdoch had it done himself, for the sensational news story

I mean, he can’t prove he didn’t, can he? The rhetoric seems like vintage FOX news, after all.

They’re probably being held in a Hooters somewhere.

This is why the Left cult is so like Islamists… people not “in” are not human and what happens to them is of no consequence.

  28. Rick Ballard says:

«O tu che mostri per sì bestial segno odio sovra colui che tu ti mangi, dimmi ‘l perché», diss’ io, «per tal convegno, che se tu a ragion di lui ti piangi, sappiendo chi voi siete e la sua pecca, nel mondo suso ancora io te ne cangi, se quella con ch’io parlo non si secca».

Buona notte, anonimo. e non dimentichi la tua giacca – che ti serverai per almeno un po’.

  29. 6Gun says:

what happens to them is of no consequence.

Thanks for the English, Darleen. I’m lucky I can even work this here keyboard.

    Thank God.

    So, did I collect?

tw: Free. Thank God for Turing too.

  30. anonymous says:

    dear, dear Darleen …

what in god’s secret name does that have to do with Dante’s Commedia and the dumb-ox Aquinas ?

  31. anonymous says:

And, Darleen? What you have posted is interesting, but not

what 6Gun said he would bring us. So, 6Gun? why don’t you

just donate that 10 grand to a widows & orphans fund ?

  32. Meg Q says:

They’re probably being held in a Hooters somewhere.

    The horror, the horror!!!

I mean, wouldn’t most DU’ers, especially the gals, find it so? That’s almost as bad as waterboarding!

    – Meg, who only reads Italiano et Latina in translation (unfortunately)

  33. anonymous says:

That’s okay, Meq, most people online only read English

    if it’s translated for them.

  34. Pablo says:

Is this what you’re looking for anonymous?

I don’t actually want any harm to come to them…

It’s just that after all that FOX has done to help promote the war, and doing everything in their power to provide unbalanced coverage, that it’s ironic that they would find themselves victims.

Maybe I am a bit of a cynical bastard, though.

    Or perhaps you’d prefer this:

    Should they be tortured?

The Middle East is in flames decidedly caused by American Taliban extremists neocons. But let’s spare the propaganda wing of that same extremists (ethnic cleansing) group? Is it the guy who assembles the bomb, or the guy who drops the bomb, or the guy who advocates dropping the bomb guilty?

    Or this:

2 Propaganda Whores Kidnapped: I’ll Joke All I Want To

    Lovely folks, your fellow travellers.

At any rate, you realize that when you take up a monetary challenege you also need to put your money where your mouth is. But I suppose that’s your purpose in being “anonymous”.

  35. Pablo says:

Ah, DU kills links from PW now. Lovely. Guess you’ll have to cut and paste.

  36. 6Gun says:

Still preciously prattling to yourself, anon?

How about you search every page of algore’s Internets. Of course, I assumed that even a self-satisfied prig such as yourself would pause at the prospect of proving a couple billion asserted negatives.

    Guess not. I’ll wait here.

‘Course, none of that is as entertaining, I know, as preening yourself while actual humans consider the tragic likelihood of “widows and orphans”.
