While The New York Times, the Associated Press, ABC News, and The Detroit News (among others) were busy suffusing the story of Adam Shapiro with soulful violin music (in most cases only metaphorically, but not so with our buddies over at GMA!), Debbie Schlussel was busy doing some research. It seems that — far from being the concerned and earnest “humanitarian,” “volunteer worker,” or “peacekeeper” engaged in “global citizenship” and “peaceful action” that many in the mainstream media have made him out to be — Shapiro may just be a slippery, half-hard prick.

You may be on to something! Now that Reynolds and Sullivan have all the right-wing blood sucking tied up, it’s time that some of us slap up a few lefty blogs and drain that side of funds, as well. Who cares if we’re really leftists or not, it’s making money off of the pain and suffering of innocents that counts. Now all I have to do is find my “Talbot’s Guide to Hypocrisy” and I’m ready to get started.
