Has anybody else noticed a ratcheting up of overt anti-American rhetoric coming out the spheres of Arab militancy over the last week? I mean, folks who were quiet as mosque mice after witnessing the overwhelming force unleashed by the U.S. in Afghanistan are suddenly talkin’ some real, anti-Uncle Sam smack, ain’t they? (I just watched a seething University of California professor on FOXNews — a specialist in Syrian and Lebanonese studies — defend “freedom fighting” while simultaneously blasting the U.S. and Israel.)

Wonder why this is — the sudden ratcheting up of threatening rhetoric, I mean. Y’think it’s because we’ve been stepping all over ourselves in an effort to appease our “moderate Arab allies” (read, via Rosett’s Law: “with few exceptons, mostly lying, two-faced, oil-lording anti-Western murder subsidizers”)?

Or could it be because we’ve shown the Arab world that we’ll buckle to their wishes should their screeching tantrums reach an irritating enough pitch? (“We will not meet with Arafat until a cease-fire is declared, or until Arafat renounces terrorist attacks in Arabic, or until Colin Powell’s in the mood for a falafel, and Arafat knows this really cozy little falafel joint…”)

Beats me. But here’s some more emboldened terror to chew on…

Mainstream international media outlets lend credence to the argument that “Arab anger and desperation” justifies (or at the very least “explains”) terrorism. And so Arab terrorist organizations, emboldened by the widespread acceptance of their preferred narrative, happily exemplify the phenomenon on the world’s stage.

How long before the Pro-Tunisian Muslim protest marches begin at Berkeley, I wonder?
