Another good column by Jonah Goldberg — one section of which provides a succinct answer to the favorite charge of dolts like Eric Alterman and his mewling, “anti-warblogging” spawn (who’ve been haunting the blogosphere too much of late, ‘f you ask me — cliches tripping from their benighted lips like so much noxious spittle). To wit: After arguing that there is absolutely no justification for the phenomenon of exploding Arabs, Jonah anticipates the canned response from his critics when he writes:
Look: You can spare me the rebuttal that I am being reflexively pro-Israel — as if being reflexively inclined to favor democracies and allies over crowds who burn American flags, who blow up innocent children, and who have enthusiastically supported the Nazis, the Soviets, and Saddam Hussein in their respective struggles against the United States is something to be ashamed of. Regardless, I do agree that the Palestinians must eventually have their state. I agree: They are in a struggle for national liberation.
But so what? Does that mean this death cult should be allowed to flourish?
Well? Does it?

No. In fact, while it continues to be have that “death cult” vibe, the issues of Palestinian statehood absolutely should not be addressed.
This is the preview of what’s to come if the international community buckles and appeases violence.
