A Reminder and an invitation

On tonight’s “Colbert Report,” Markos Moulitsas Zuniga—your “Daily Kos” emcee—blinks and susses his way to media stardom.  Check your local listings for the time.

Also, don’t miss tonight’s debate between Zionist sympathizer and fascist traitor to the ideals of the Movement, David Horowitz, and Ward Churchill—famed Native-American-esque artist and tenured university professor, whose scholarship on “ethnic studies” never fails to speak Truth to Power (though it does often fail to footnote properly; but we’ll just write that off to the price of BRINGING JUSTICE AGAINST THE MAN!)

You can catch the debate, live from George Washington University, on Rightalk Radio. The debate is scheduled to start some time between 8 and 8:30 PM EST.

Mansfield was on last nite. Not a very good format for him.

This message has been a public service announcement brought to you by the TRUTH TO POWER, ANTI-RACIST, NON-RETHUGLICAN, “SCREW ‘EM” CLUB

Heh.  Kos was a regular whipping boy in high school.  Big surprise.

    TRUTH TO POWER!

Will Billy Jack be on too?

    Horowitz vs. Churchill?

How is that even fair? This is like the Yankees Vs. the Pawtuckett Red Sox.

Will anyone be, um, helping Churchill during the debate? Or maybe giving him some pointers? Poking David with a stick when talks? Or something? Anyone?

Horowitz will annihilate him. Should be fun to read tomorrow.

If it was a straight-up debate, sure. But these things usually seem to be held in front of partisan lefty audiences, who reliably respond to every moonbat applause line.

There are many conservative pundits who could expose Churchill for the posturing fool that he is.  Unfortunately, David Horowitz is not one of them.  The guy’s a buffoon.  I predict a boring draw and an audience that regrets the waste of a spring evening.

  8. adamthemadman says:

Someone has got to make a Chompsky-bot type website for Churchill. He’s like a semester of PoMo study guides shredded and pasted together.

    I can’t you’re not live-blogging this, Jeff.

    Oh, wait yes I can.

  9. Muslihoon says:

Is anyone covering Kos on Colbert Report?

  10. Vladimir says:

Josh, what is it that brings you to the conclusion that Horowitz is a buffoon?  What of his have you read?

I saw a short clip of him and Churchill on the net and he’s articulate and reasonable from what I saw.  I can’t say I’ve read much of him myself, but I’d be curious as to what you’ve got.

Personally, I’ve always been wishing that Victor Davis Hanson would take Churchill to the cleaners in public.

  11. Vladimir says:

“Screw em” Kos is also on iTunes, as an audiobook interview with Brian Lamb on CSPAN.

I don’t even know if VDH is human. Isn’t he like a demigod or something?

  13. Vladimir says:

I’ve seen him in Massachusetts, debating “Peace Activist” Prof. Edsforth up at Amherst.

Not only did Edsforth pander to the audience’s emotions, he showed himself to be astonishingly ignorant of the Constitution and the Geneva Conventions.

Hanson in person is a confident, yet humble man.

  14. Josh says:

Horowitz is articulate and can appear reasonable in debate, but if you look at the substance of what he’s done, it’s pretty ridiculous.

Horowitz’ buffoonery is most recently evidenced by his ridiculous drive to legislate college curricula.  Essentially it would have entitled everyone from Marxists to flat-earthers to have their viewpoint taught wherever it was implicated.  He also lied about who had endorsed it.

He ripped off Clausewitz’ quote about war being politics by other means (or vice versa – I don’t have the quote handy) and acted like it was his own witty bon mot in a Salon article a few years back.  He’s a huckster more interested in lining the pockets of his foundation than serious political action or debate.  The right can do better.

His ridiculousness extends back to when he was a Berkeley radical.  He stuck with the black panthers long after almost everyone else had realized they were essentially a street gang.

See, that is what I thought, too.  But then the esteemed honorable Professor Doctor Father Churchill spent at least half his time explaining there is no such thing as truth!!!!

    WTF?????

    I am so confused.

  16. I Tivoed Colbert but haven’t watched yet.

  17. Vladimir says:

Thanks Josh, I’ll read that article you linked.

Churchill is deserving of an opponent more the caliber of a Hannity.  Shout, shout, let it all out.

  18. Hypocrite says:

I’m adamantly against copyright violation, so it’s quite duplicitous of me to post this link, but for those who need to see: Kos on ‘Colbert.’

  19. Vladimir says:

to quote Kos “We’ve found that Republicans are good at telling you when to be born and when to die, but they’re not good at the stuff in between”.  *applause*

At that point I turned off the YouTube and opened a book.

  20. Muslihoon says:

That’s one thing that reeeaaally annoys me about the Colbert Report: the audience is extremely biased (in favor of the left). It ticks me off.

Why does comedy on TV always have to be so leftwing? Why can’t more comedians be either non-political or make fun of Democrats as well? One black comedian on Premium Blend was making fun of Dr. Rice and that really upset me. He should be praising her for showing the rest of black America how to be successful.

Although Colbert did call Hillary “the Whore of Babylon” on one of his shows. That was priceless.

Yeah. Because, that’s what makes for great comedy.

  22. Muslihoon says:

Like he couldn’t have targetted racist blacks? Al Sharpton? Rev. Jackson? Other hysterical people? With his choice he’s making a statement.
