“A Saturday Afternoon in the Life of an Evil Reactionary Bush Apologist”: a protein wisdom sudden fiction

“Well, sure, I know Jesus would want us to picket outside the abortion clinic, honey.  But it’s such a nice day and all, I’m sure he’d also want us to grill out and enjoy some Miller Genuine Drafts.

“Tell you what:  we’ll compromise.  You go load the dead fetus placards into the car, and I’ll go find the Habatchi and some sterno—and fill up the cooler with cheesedogs and a couple sixers.  Deal?”

  1. Pablo says:

    TAILGATE!

tw: until the crowd dies down.

  2. McGehee says:

Wait a minute—she is the one who wants to go protest? But … but I keep hearing about how pro-life-ism is just The Man’s way of trying to keep The Womon down (preferably on her hands and knees, of course)!

Oh, I get it. “She” is just a self-loathing female who has totally subjugated herself to her patriarchy-imposing husband, and doing it so well he doesn’t even feel the need to make an effort anymore. Damned, lazy hege-man.

Or, maybe “she” isn’t even female. Maybe…

BECAUSE OF THE GAY REDNECK HYPOCRISY!!!

  3. McGehee says:

(It’s so much more fun getting in on these threads at the start.)

  4. Jack Roy says:

I think I missed the funny part.  McGehee seems to get it, though; may I ask for an explanation?

  5. Onward Christian Soldiers says:

I think I missed the funny part.  McGehee seems to get it, though; may I ask for an explanation?

Jack what Jeff is trying to say is that “the Left” is stupid for constantly bringig up the GOPs largest voting bloc, the Religious Right, since everyone in the know(like McGehee)understands that “Fundies” are really just irrevelant idiots that no one pays attention to except for 6 weeks before major elections. Get it HA HA wink grin tongue laugh

  6. Jay says:

Have the trolls left?  ‘Cause they left a real mess behind.  I mean, there’s trash all over the front lawn, the spare bedroom is filled with paper-mache puppets, and I think someone’s been peeing in the pool.

And you don’t even want to think about going into the bathroom.  There are some things that the smell of patchouli does not cover.

I’ll start vacuuming, you guys get the trash bags.  After that, we’ll need to fumigate.

  7. Onward Christian Soldiers says:

Oops – that should be “bringing” and “irrelevant” of course. Sorry sirs oh oh

  8. 6Gun says:

Jack Roy, is it still irony when moonbats/leftards/progressives accidently/clumsily/foolishly evidence/display/exhibit absolutely no irony about the ironic?

    Open smilie thread!  tongue wink

tw: And humor was provided them and they, being mirthless and without mirth, wert amuse-ed not.

  9. Sean M. says:

Waitjustacottonpickinminute–you let your wife go outside?

  10. Pablo says:

In the words of noted conservative thinker Anthony Kiedis:

If you have to ask, you’ll never know

Funky motherfuckers wil not be told to go

  11. gahrie says:

I’ve got a bunch of trained midgets in Oompa Loompa outfits I can send over to help clean up.

  12. Darleen says:

    Jay

I think some of the trolls left ‘cuz they’re missing the I::heart::Illegal Aliens rallies, complete with Mexican flags and calls by La Raza for returning California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas to Mexico.

BECAUSE THE WHITE PATRIARCHY STOLE THE LAND FROM THE GENTLE BROWN PEOPLE WHO PICK YOUR GRAPES AND ORANGES!

  13. MamaM says:

Shoot,Jay, if you’ll put that poor buggered dog out for some air and find me a fresh pair of rubber gloves, I’ll tackle the bathroom. I owe him something for all the times he’s left the door open and the light on. Besides, I got no place better to hang and I’m still sort of hoping for pie.

  14. Defense Guy says:

Waitjustacottonpickinminute–you let your wife go outside?

Yeah, but he keeps a tight grip on the leash to her uterus.

  15. Beck says:

    Oh give me a home

    Where the moonbats don’t roam

Nah, just doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

  16. Defense Guy says:

Kinda meant to italicize that last, but I was too preoccupied thinking of how kind Cortez was to the natives, in comparison to the white devils.

Plus the patriarchy made me do it.

  17. chase says:

To begin with they are not “moonies” they are the Unification Church or something but that’s not the point. Even if George Steinbrenner owned the Washinton Times that would not make it any less the most fair, balanced and authoritative paper in the USA. As for the opinion of one Bob Kerrey the fact that he is a partisan Democrate lends even greater credence to his words. Holy Cow, even the most obtuse person could surmize that Saddam and Osama had such mutual goals that the fellowship of the two was not only probable it was inevitable.

Its your fault I had to post in this thread because you didn’t open the comments in to other thread.

  18. The Ghost of Frontier Fremont... says:

Darleen — Not only that, we stole the part with all the paved roads and indoor plumbing…

  19. Bezuhov says:

No, the point (and again a coffee up-the-nose funny one) is to lampoon the extent to which in their rush to dehumanization the typical critic of Protein Wisdom completely misapprehends the sort of folks that congregate here.

As do those here often enough misapprehend the supposedly monolithic “left”. It a human thing – I take it you understand.

  20. Ric Locke says:

    Jack Roy,

Without in the least presuming to read Jeff’s mind, I’m thinking that it may have also been an oblique reference to this (possibly as mentioned here)

    Regards,

    Ric

“‘There’s been no proven link between the secular state of Iraq and al-Qaeda!’ Come on. They both think we’re Satan. Isn’t that a nice starting point? Why are you so loathe to believe they might have each other on lunatic speed dial?”—Dennis Miller (May 2003)

  22. MarkD says:

    Hibachi.  Hi = fire.

  23. Ric Locke says:

MarkD, no doubt you are technically correct. But in the dialect Jeff is representing he spelled it absolutely phonetically.

    Regards,

    Ric

TW: Of course they see simple answers. They have simple minds.

  24. Khan (No, Not That One) says:

Kinda meant to italicize that last, but I was too preoccupied thinking of how kind Cortez was to the natives, in comparison to the white devils.

Wasn’t Cortez one of the white devils too?  He was from Estremadura and all…

  25. gahrie says:

I’m going to organize a counter protest! Meat is Murder!!!

  26. Defense Guy says:

    Khan

Truly no idea.  Perhaps a bit of misdirected snark.

Can we just agree that everyone who came from the old world was the devil?

  27. Khan (No, Not That One) says:

Defense Guy – we’d probably better narrow it to the European portion of the Old World, just to be safe.

  28. McGehee says:

“Fundies” are really just irrevelant idiots…

That mispelling may have been unintentional, but it was inspired. LOL If you’ll pardon the expression.

  29. Defense Guy says:

    Khan

Good idea.  I would also move that we hold the Spanish speaking conquerors blameless, because in the long run the countries run by their descendants have not turned out to be the evil capitalistic neo-con strongholds.  For the sake of the hypocrisy.

  30. CK Dexter Haven says:

    Darleen,

Actually, it is the GOP business owners and George Bush that love the illegals.  Democrats and liberals recognize that without the illegals, they would have to pay a living wage to Americans.

Yesterday, when W (heavenly chorus stipulated) said that they do jobs americans won’t do, what he meant was that they do jobs cheaper than Americans will do them.  When jobs are going for $8 an hour that used to pay $18/hr, we know that the jobs for Americans are being taken away.

So please, close the borders the sooner the better.  We’ll all be better off.

  31. Don't blame me, I voted for Trotsky... says:

As do those here often enough misapprehend the supposedly monolithic “left”.

Actually, it’s not so much that I misunderstand them, as that I’ve never been able to underestimate them…

  32. Bezuhov says:

“So please, close the borders the sooner the better.  We’ll all be better off.”

Hence the deafeaning Dem support for doing so. Got it.

“Actually, it’s not so much that I misunderstand them, as that I’ve never been able to underestimate them…”

Though you do not underestimate the threat, I believe you do underestimate the opportunity.

My greatest fear is the Democratic leadership will get desperate enough to seriously start pandering to these people.

  34. Bezuhov says:

“My greatest fear is the Democratic leadership will get desperate enough to seriously start pandering to these people.”

Oh they already are, they already are. They just take care that these people don’t find out about the additional pandering they do to those people (illegals). If you told these people, they probably wouldn’t believe you anyway.

  35. Don't blame me, I voted for King Pyrrhus... says:

CK Dexter Haven — If you want to blame the illegals in California on the GOP, you’d better stay away from the Indian casinos and Nancy Pelosi’s vineyards…

  36. Muslihoon says:

Ah, but which one has the Ring?
