   There is a British guy whose name I don’t recall who makes a very good living predicting the weather and weather changes based on sunspot activity. He gets paid by large companies. He predicted that strange snowstorm in the UK a few years ago, for instance.

   The way I see it, if you get paid for your science voluntarily because you can deliver useful results, you probably have something going on.

   Threatening skeptics and dissidents with prison. For some reason, I can’t remember that ever being mentioned as part of the scientific method.

   But it does seem familiar. Now where have I heard about that before?

   What is Nye’s contingency plan if no one listens to him and the world starts flooding. I he just going to let himself drown and say “I told you so” with his last dying breath?

   This is why I don’t listen to these people. If they really believed is was disaster to come, they would be making other plans.

   Bill Nye’s twin claims to fame are that he hosted a children’s TV show and that he was humiliated in a series of climate debates.

   But for people who know nothing of science but want to be *seen* to support sciency sciencism, he’s a hero, like Irrational Tweeter Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

   The wish to jail dissidents is actually pretty common in history.

   Given their immense and appalling procedural ignorance where all aspects of real life are concerned, I suspect they’ll be killing plenty of allies and themselves too.

   When you don’t know a short white man is short,white, and a man because you invented or been compelled to acknowledge the supremacy lots of ways not to see what’s in front of you to avoid being a regressive shitlord, you can’t hope to feed yourself.

   You shut down your brain and the wolves move back into the city and mankind becomes a skinny frightened prey animal again. Forget councils and kings, you’ll be lucky if you still have an uncle instead of a dominant member of your feeding group.

    No, he was fired to preserve the delicate fragility of the new normal.

    The audience has no attention span, and the the zeitgeist is a roiling flash flood right now, so they have to demolish anything that stands up to their gossamer foam brain-manacles.
