   If you attend college, study something in STEM, keep your head down, say nothing not related to your studies, and if you’re a man, don’t have sex with any female college students.

   I always ask those trying to defend ObamaCare whether the Federal Government could force every American citizen to buy one or more guns as a condition of citizenship, and to demonstrate the ownership and proficiency of said gun(s) every year as a part of filling out their income tax paperwork. They usually bluster and stammer and end up saying “of course not!”.

   “Then why can they force me to buy health insurance, which isn’t even mentioned in the Constitution?”

   One of them even tried to claim that the Constitution says that the government is suppose to “provide the common welfare”. I said, “That was the Preamble, not the actual Constitution, and that it says WE THE PEOPLE are writing the Constitution and creating a government to PROMOTE the general welfare and PROVIDE for the common defense. It is a contract, and the Feds have broken it more times than I care to mention.”

   I then had to provide examples, at which point they changed the subject.

   Whenever I get into a debate with a leftist on the Constitution and I ask them if it was written to limit the Government or limit the citizens I usually get a hysterical “what is your agenda??” response

   Cranky, any reasonable man would tell you “promote” and “provide” are synonyms in that context.

   I wonder, given the times we live in, if it is possible to find a consensus of reasonable men to define reasonable…

   I bet in colleges across the land there’s no objections to the men buggering each other. Nobody gunna say shit about that.
