    As noted elsewhere, Tony Kennedy is apparently tired of being a jurist and is now gunning for the position of Poet Laureate of the Supreme Court.

    He may want to start by not having a writing style that calls to mind a rejected Harlequin Romance wannabe.

    I’ve been reliably informed on Twitter (today and yesterday) that all the shit that has gone down during the Oministration will be easily repealed during the first few months of 2017. Just get out and vote!

    Which, if that doesn’t provide insight into How We Got Here, I don’t know what does.

    Also, never in the history of this country has the government forced a church to do anything.

    Well, OK, the Mormons got forced, but that was when we were more Judeo-Christian and stuff. People were stricter then. It’s different now.

    Well, OK, the Christian bakers lost their business but I’m against that.

    And Apple is entitled to make market decisions about the Confederate flag. They’re big enough that you can’t attribute their decisions to mob rule, which doesn’t exist.

    Well, OK, if the mob did exist it’s not really relevant because that’s the free market and democracy.

    The fringe elements on either side have little to no influence on the government.

    And Spock has a goatee in all episodes but one.

    One bright note is that I discovered that one of the new guys at work actually believes in the Constitution. I found that out when he related the news that “gay marriage” is now the law of the land.

    He isn’t quite ready to call this fascism. I’ll have to work on him a bit.
