   It’s worth noting that the socialist realism depicted in the posters at the end of the clip was in vogue here during the ’30s, as well. See this, this and this.

   Yes, you can see a lot of that imagery still on murals completed by WPA artists in old post offices & other government buildings.

   “Progressivism” by any other name.

   If you admit that words have a meaning that you can’t change just to suit you, you are surrendering power. If there is one thing the left never does, it’s surrender power.

   Europe has essentially been a bird with one wing, a left wing, since probably before WWII.

   But! Fret not, that second wing is growing! Unfortunately that wing is political Islam. It is something of a desperate irony that this is largely because the European left has grown decadent – one of its favorite words to wave at others.

   Basically they ran out of other people’s money.
