Maybe Boehner should stop bathing, grow a long white beard and start wearing a turban. He might have better luck —if he could stop crying.

Oh, and by the way, look who’s gotten all hobbity and fundamentally unserious all of a sudden.

Nah, Ace vilified Jeff years ago for concluding the precise essence of what is now posted here.

Ace gonna take up wrestling soon?

Unfortunately, to my view, the four panels of the cartoon portray the silliness of the ClownDisaster “negotiations” in the very same decontextualized situation (see, it’s just two guys, albeit that they’re dressed differently) as the ClownDisaster’s great error assumes.

In order to put the two figures back into a proper context, the Grand Ayatollah would have to be depicted standing knee-deep in slaughtered Americans, peopled with the bodies of US Ambassadors, Marines killed in their barracks, CIA agents captured and tortured to death, friends of America who happened to have been Iranian killed in their thousands at the inception of the Khomeinist revolution, US troops murdered in their sleep at Khobar, Kenyans and Tanzanians blown apart and crushed under embassy buildings, US troops kidnapped and murdered in Iraq or killed and maimed by the hundred with IRGC IEDs, and etc.

There are no indications whatsoever that the attacks on Americans and America friendly nations will cease, nor that the Khomeinist revolution itself will cease to carry it’s murderous intent far and abroad, up to and including the elimination of the American ally nation Israel. But that’s not easy to do, that depiction, and as such is used by the ClownDisasterites to obscure the meaning of their capitulation.

Well, that, and Obama’s favorite rhetorical ploy –presenting a false dichotomy, only to reject it.

  5. dicentra says:

For that cartoon to be accurate, Obama’s lines should be preceded by “First, I’m going to pretend to ask for this.”

Obama is flat-out pro-Iranian. He sent an emissary to Iran prior to his election. Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran and is rumored to speak Farsi. Between Sunni and Shia fantatics who want to bathe the world in blood and chaos, thus to bring the Madhi back, Obama’s already thrown in with the Shia’s version.

He’s perfectly fine with Iran getting the bomb, especially if they use it on Israel.

He’s just got to finesse the deal without anyone picking up on what he’s doing. And by “anyone” I mean anyone who might raise a stink (an increasingly small cohort to be sure).

The MSM is fine with whatever Obama wants, regardless. The Establicans are also fine with what Obama wants but must pretend to object, at least enough to gull certain pundits into stumping for them under the “better than Dems” lie.

We are far more screwed than we could have imagined in 2008.

    Yay us.

Red State is OUT as well. That article, BTW, is a mess in many ways. It’s premised on the idea that the Founders “could not have forseen” our current situation, when in fact they very much did. Their anxiety over what factions (aka political parties) can do has played out exactly as they feared: Instead of protecting its turf, Legislative throws in with the Executive when they’re in the same party. Also when both parties decide that looting the treasury is a better deal than protecting the Republic.

(I’d have commented on that article to that effect except Red State’s registration Turing test is busted.)

Even so, the article recognizes that something fundamental has broken.

On Twitter last night, Ace and Charles C.W. Cooke went at it for a bit, with Ace saying “screw em” and CCWC saying, “what else could they have done?” (re: the DHS bill).

I had thought that Cook was pretty OK (he even appears on The Blaze TV news as a guest commenter), but his pro-establishment streak (OK, more like a full-on dye-job) is really disturbing. Look at this piece from Feb 2014. I added a comment recently before realizing it was a year old (after bouncing over there from Twitter, I think).

What’s in the water at NRO? You think these guys are OK and then when push comes to shove they totally bail.

Yeah, but not moreso than was foreseeable in 2012. So if the American people are getting abused and maltreated like the proverbial crackwhore, they’re not entirely faultless.
