a CITIZEN JOURNALIST prepares himself for tonight’s State of the Union Address

I only have 2 episodes of “Bar Rescue” on the DVR, but if Obama goes longer than we all hope he will, I’m covered: I have yesterday’s “Castle” and at least one “Love it or List it” in the queue.

So. God Bless America. And I guess He can go ahead and bless Canada, too, in this very limited case.

For those with a subscription to The BlazeTV, Pat, Stu, and Glenn are doing “Political Science Theater 2015” during the SOTU.

Which is exactly the right treatment for such awful Kabuki.

    And always has been.

I’ve been watching “The Finder” on Netflix. The premise has possibilities (mostly comedic), and it’s a shame it didn’t get a chance to explore them further.

    Justified’s final season starts tonight.

  4. On DIY they’re showing Holmes Makes It Right episodes.

Just got home … listened to music on the radio rather than any of the news stations as they were all preparing to carry King Barry’s appeals to covetousness and envy.

Now have nice glass of wine in hand …

O’Balderdash begins speaking when? I believe I’m missing it, but not really. Meh. But I just did pre-order Season 4 of Game of Thrones, due to see release February 22 on BluRay. I’d much rather see that dwarf than the White House one.

I’ve been watching for, seems like, two or three hours now and not only did my bullshit detector explode early on, but the little detector shards have been exploding into ever smaller, serially exploding smithereens.

    castro run america

  10. McGehee says:

Tai, when the smithereens get down to Higgs boson size, let us all know. When those explode it’s BOKYAG time.

This year’s GOP response to the SOTU was much like McMorris’s last year. I didn’t like the elementary school teacher presentation style and cringe-worthy, “folksy” anecdotes.

In a bad mood. Thank God for Justified tonight. I hope the body count is high.

good lord, but Joni Ernst must have hit a nerve … The vitriol and hate being heaped on her by the Left is stunning – even by Sarah Palin standards.

    “What? Me Worry?”

I stayed off TV and ate some chicken and cheese enchilada soup…which is basically more of a sauce than a soup. But I had bread.

To the tune of Chim Chimney

    Light worker light worker
    work me some light
    Each word you say
    Makes me pucker so tight
    Free college, tax the rich
    Tax gas and coal
Till we all stand in line
By a bread shop sign pole.

And da da da, dee dee dee, whatever the hell else you want to put there…

  17. Damn brilliant, Palaeo.

Nothing about buying or building a house in Alaska on your DVR?? That’s pretty much all I see any longer.

i didn’t know Castle was still a thing

poor Nathan he’s gonna be 400 pounds if this goes on much longer

Thought the point was that when it comes to diversions from the stentorian bull-pucky of the ClownDisaster, anything at all is a sufficient thing.

I was reading a book instead of looking at the squawk box last night. Winged Victory, written in 1934 by a WWI RAF pilot, Loving it.

Anyway, I bring it up because from what I hear about the speech, the fascinating conversation (inspired by the question “why did the USA jump into the war”) the RAF boys were having in 1918 had a much closer relationship to our reality today than anything Obama said last night.

I’m only less than a quarter through it, but unreservedly recommend BTW. Beautifully written, deep, and funny as hell. The description of our hero Tom’s first solo in a Sopwith Camel had me rolling.!
