  3. happyfeet says:

    cause he’s a momo

  4. LBascom says:

    What’s a momo?

  5. happyfeet says:

    he has trouble functioning

  6. happyfeet says:

other momos are include Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Justin Bieber, Kathleen Sebelius, Oscar Pistorius and the CIA

  7. happyfeet says:

just to be clear, “Oscar Pistorius” and “the CIA” are two separate momos

  8. serr8d says:

    ‘feets misses his momo

  9. serr8d says:

Jeb Bush is back on Drudge. So is Romney. Neither of those elitist pragmatists deserve time of day from Constitutionalists.

Can’t think of any Constitutionalist who could win, though. Before the snap, that is..

  10. happyfeet says:

i miss sunshine and i miss new girl and i miss mexican foozle and i miss mountains

  11. happyfeet says:

i wanna see mountains again gandalf

  12. LBascom says:

Momo = has trouble functioning, and you list a successful doctor, governor and a woman that ha accomplished more in life than you even dream of? Then lump them in with a teen pop star, a corrupt bureaucrat , and a South African murderer?

    You’re a weird little person….

  13. LBascom says:

    has accomplished…

  14. happyfeet says:

i moved a chair over by the window

    i done a lot

    since you been gone

  15. serr8d says:

    I miss Reagan, secondly.

If only Ted Cruz could win, I’d miss Reagan much less.

  16. serr8d says:

OK, ‘feets. Don’t say I never did anything for you..

In 4.5 hours, you can drive to a… 700 Foot MOUNTAIN!!1!!1!!.

    Enjoy.

  17. happyfeet says:

that looks like just the thing really

  18. Pablo says:

Doo doo doo lookin’ out my back door.

I suspect Dr. Carson has outdone feets’s lifetime intellectual output whilst taking any one of a large number of craps.

  19. happyfeet says:

Dr. Carson and his large number of craps are best appreciated in realms other than the political i think

and deep down you know I’m right

  20. newrouter says:

dr carson would make a fine surgeon general or fda person

  21. newrouter says:

plus newsmax is all a twitter about dr ben

  22. McGehee says:

Ben Carson’s skills and his talent ensure that he can serve man and God regardless of his political fortunes.

I doubt he will run for president and I think if he does there will be a shitstorm, either over some of his political views (of which most of us really know very little) or just the fact he’s a black man running for president who’s done more in any given week than Obama has in six years.

So, I’m not on the Draft Ben bandwagon even though I have nothing but respect for the man. Putting him in charge of the CDC would be a huge step forward for public health, I think.

  23. happyfeet says:

yeah I’m not on the bandwagon either

  24. Neo says:

That is the first time that I’ve ever confused Hillary Clinton with Dale Evans.
I doubt Bill Clinton will ever look like Roy Rogers.

  25. LBascom says:

Carson has the same lack of political party insider cred Palin had.

Because that is a problem with many is why we find ourselves with the conundrum of having to vote for a McCain or a Romney. Or probably Jeb Bush 2016!

I’m not saying I’m on any bandwagon, but I cringe at elitism.

  26. McGehee says:

Yeah, I’d prefer almost anyone else rather than a warmed-over also-ran from Rove’s Rolodex.

I’m just wary of engaging identity politics by its own rules. The first successful black president will be a Republican, but he won’t get elected by saying, “See, we can nominate a black guy too!”

  27. McGehee says:

C’mon guys, the NFL can’t be that interesting.

  28. sdferr says:

Relative to the emptiness that is Hillary Clinton? Oh yes it can.

  29. Drumwaster says:

I still have hopes that Scott Walker will step up, with Ted Cruz as his running mate… Announce that Trey Gowdy will be Attorney General and you would have the vote of every conservative around, just to see how fast Obama would be trying to pardon himself.

OT: is anyone else getting popup video ads when you reload a web page? It happens to me a lot, but a full scan with microsoft’s malicious software remover did not find anything wrong.

  31. happyfeet says:

    no popups here

today i need to set up my new robot

this place is all hardwood floors – not the super-beautiful kinds the old kinda ghetto kind so I got me one of these

i hope it wasn’t a colossal waste of monies but i left my neato in LA with a not-crazy friend who has three (3!) cats

so i needed something new anyway so this one was like buying a neato and a half

it’s supposed to mop… i guess the biggest thing to find out is if it can navigate to the hardwood from the kitchen

there this real ghetto-type flooring in the kitchen that needs help, and a lil piece of wood is there uniting where the tile meets the hardwood of the hallway

if it doesn’t work i can just clean the hardwood and kitchen separately i guess

    i miss sunshine

    Wait til April

    and i miss new girl

    Can’t help.

    and i miss mexican foozle

You now live in the city with the second largest uban hispanic population in the country. If you cant find decent Mexican food that’s your faulta

    and i miss mountains

    Bout 1200 miles due west.

  33. happyfeet says:

so far I’ve either just found fancy frontera xoco stuff or “family” style stuff

for sure downtown is devoid of anything authentico

i’m looking for a cheap divey place with words on it like taqueria carniceria tortas ahogado, and i kinda want it to be super convenient to get to and park at, if not right on my way to places I go to frequently

i’m a try taking different routes to my jewel and see what i find

btw I’m told jewel’s deli has improbably tasty fried chicken

    can you confirm?

  34. newrouter says:

    >for sure downtown is devoid of anything authentico<

dude have you looked into canuck cusine? you're near a different border.

  35. happyfeet says:

poutine is the limit of my canadian cuisine knowledges

i have this one thing i do where i brush brussels sprouts with maple syrup and dust on some chili powder and sea salts

that might be kinda sorta canadian

but also my friend d told me about a restaurant near here call Tre Kronor – it’s swedish, and there’s another one he says i should try as well

so yeah I’m excited to try the swedish foozles

also there’s a bohemian national cemetery near here i want to go take some pics at, so maybe there’s some bohemian foozles as well – I’ll have to check

the pozoles y caldos at xoco are very nicely done don’t get me wrong, but the people you eat with aren’t the kind of people you usually eat with when you go get pozole

    is hard to splain lucy

  36. McGehee says:

HF, if your cow orkers can’t tell you where to find teh autentico, you need new cow orkers.

  37. happyfeet says:

well where we are downtown is very bougie – there’s three of there that live in the same general hood though and those two have been helpful

there *used* to be authentico here – you can tell by how much signage is still in spanish and the odd bodega or two, but that seems to have sorta waned

what you have left is the pre-hispanic things that held on and the new gentrificationy things like wine bars and hipster breakfast places

and on top of that we have a sort of asian thing going on hereabouts – i’m very close to the vietnamese places

and we have korean bbq and such

    but no tacoses

not that I’ve found – people direct me to some mexican place in lincoln square a lot but i can tell it’s not what i want even remotely

at the end of the day

you just don’t have as many strip malls here

strip malls play a more bigger role in the abundancy of tasty cheap mexican foozles than is generally appreciated i think

  38. happyfeet says:

three of *us* there i mean

  43. newrouter says:

    >I’m not really in that place right now<

    try this one

Olive Garden Pasta E Fagioli Soup in a Crock Pot

  44. happyfeet says:

    >N SOCIETIES under the post-totalitarian system, all political life in the traditional sense has been eliminated. People have no opportunity to express themselves politically in public, let alone to organize politically. The gap that results is filled by ideological ritual. In such a situation, people’s interest in political matters naturally dwindles and independent political thought, insofar as it exists at all, is seen by the majority as unrealistic, farfetched, a kind of self-indulgent game, hopelessly distant from their everyday concerns; something admirable, perhaps, but quite pointless, because it is on the one hand entirely utopian and on the other hand extraordinarily dangerous, in view of the unusual vigor with which any move in that direction is persecuted by the regime.

Yet even in such societies, individuals and groups of people exist who do not abandon politics as a vocation and who, in one way or another, strive to think independently, to express themselves and in some cases even to organize politically, because that is a part of their attempt to live within the truth.<

How very true. Our favorite family-run Mexican restaurant has two locations, both in strip malls.

Of course, that paradigm may be a Sunbelt thing, and you’d need to adapt to find the places in Shystertown.

  54. happyfeet says:

    i will be diligent

  55. Mueller says:

Yes Feets. Jewel fried chicken is pretty good, but their grilled chicken is even better.

You gotta get west of western ave. to get anything remotely authentic mexican. or korean, or polish. And it’s cheaper too. Lotsa little storefront taquerias.

  56. happyfeet says:

    west of western…

ok i know where that is

my closest walmart is west of western

can’t remember what but there’s something else also near there i’ll want to run by sooner or later – i just looked it up the other day
