a CITIZEN JOURNALIST continues to look into the Natalee Holloway case and to offer theories on her disappearance that could, perhaps, prove fruitful, were the Aruban government to follow-up on them—and were Greta Van Susteren to take up the mantle and really really dig

Nope, not anywhere in my fridge.  Though I did find a hank of leftover chorizo which I plan to fry up, stuff into a pepper jack omelet, and wash down with my first beer of Friday directly after filing this report.

Too early for beer?  For you civilians, sure.  But we field journalists are nothing if not salty and hard.  And a little bit twisted.

Like Bavarian-style sourdough pretzels.  It’s the cross we bear, I’m afraid.

    Mmmm…field journalist…

  2. Attila Girl says:

If it isn’t too early for beer, it isn’t too early to enquire if you-know-who will be doing you-know-what later on.

I am so anxious that today – TODAY(!) will finally be the day to see the plated one move the groove and shake his shell. I just know it!

    tw: young

Um, that was a couple of threads ago, was it not?

  4. TODD says:

Early morning beer and a slice of PIE! The breakfast of champion journalists….

  5. mojo says:

    Say… are those macaroons?

    SB: life

don’t talk to me about life…

  6. A fine scotch says:

Please tell me at this hour of the morning you’re at least going with a good beer like Sam Smith’s Taddy Porter.

  7. IWood says:

    Mojo–

    Yeah.  And they’re mine.

    So back the hell off.

    Right now.

  8. Carin says:

You know, at least she perished in her salad days.  Before she became a bane for men to look at.

  9. Lew Clark says:

Obviously you dillophiles haven’t figured Jeff out yet.  Each Friday he sets up his excuse for “dillo interruptus”.  This week it’s “Natalee Holloway is still missing”.  Sometime today we’ll get the excuse that the little fellow is combing every grain of sand on Aruba and will not be available.

  10. ed says:

    Hmmm.

Please tell me at this hour of the morning you’re at least going with a good beer like Sam Smith’s Taddy Porter.

Nah.  A better choice IMHO is Old Peculiar, a British traditional brown ale.  Lovely flavor.

  11. I think the dillo is done with young Miss Holloway and has set off on the much more difficult search for the DNC’s principles.

    TW: Wrong

    I could be…

  12. mojo says:

    Yeah.  And they’re mine.

    So back the hell off.

    Right now.

Wow, man – such hostility! And all over a tasty coconut-based pastry. It’s good to share, as they say in kindergarden.

Perhaps I should mention: I’m really stoned, really hungry (I loooove macaroons!), and also I have a knife…

    SB: coming

Aw, not the Lincoln/Heroin thing again…

  13. pinky says:

Sun is over the yardarm.  If not here then somewhere.

  14. me says:

I recommend this tasty brew to start the day off with a bang! Tastiest way yet that I’ve discovered to ramp up to a comfortable all day buzz.

  15. ss in a time of brownshirts says:

That’s the motivation I needed to quit surfing blogs and get to work so I can go home while it’s still Friday. Mmmmm. Beer and Pretzels. Thanks.

  16. bobonthebellbuoy says:

Oh rhetorical question… “Is it too early for beer?”

Because I can chew rebar, spit spikes and two penny nails the real question is (wait for it)

    “WHERE’S THE PIE”

ps: Either the Dillo dances or I ain’t coming back.

pps: TW “addition” In addition to being a hard fisted, brawling CITIZEN JOURNALIST I do prefer peach instead of apple.
