Checking in again

Hello, all. First, let me say thank you to those of you who have contributed to an unannounced November fundraiser; I didn’t provide much bang for your buck over the last couple months, dealing as I’ve been with the and now my mother’s problems, both medical and financial.

On the medical side, an MRI, taken after my mother was re-admitted to the hospital after not being able to put any pressure on her right leg, reveal several spots on her spine. a PET scan is next. My mother is currently in quarantine thanks to some ESBL(?) thing, as well, but reports from my aunt and cousin are that her spirits are still high.

On the financial side, I’ve taken several steps to try to get the ball rolling on a notice of lis pendans: I’ve spoken to an attorney in FL and have sent him a synopsis of what I’ve found, along with all the documents I’ve prepared for my mother: the change of POA (sent certified mail to my brother), the statement of her intents and affirmation that fiduciary trust had been violated; a revocation of POA (also sent certified to my brother); and a new will, where I assume the role of executor, and in which I included a provision noting that any monies or property recovered after my mother’s death (which I naturally hope is still years away, but I have to be dispassionate in these kinds of things, for the sake of the rest of the family) will be considered part of her estate.

In Maryland, I have a detective working on the case who has begun the subpoena process of the accounts we know about. The Title company who handled the sale of the house, Choice Settlement Group, has put me off for over a week now; the deed is still listed in my mother’s name so we need to find out if that’s a county recording error or something else is going on. Today I’ll be badgering them some more.

Too, we’ve been in contact with the Maryland Department of Aging and trying to get my mother legal representation in the state under indigent circumstances, which would mean the state would assume the cost of any legal work and any fees would be covered by the estate.

My brother has again been harassing, through text and phone calls, my Aunt and cousin, as well as my sister. Those texts are being saved and documented. And I’ve had my cousin file yet another police report for cyber harassment (I have some experience in this area, as many of you know; and yes, I’m talking about Oregon’s nutty (erstwhile) professor, not about the infamous lost cease and desist letter allegedly sent to me for harassment I never engaged in. Which, by the way, I’m still waiting on).

At any rate, I’ve been trying to post a little more in between all the stuff we have going on here, but it’s been tough. And my wife has a particularly heavy travel schedule for November, leaving me a bit overwhelmed, though I must say I do feel a bit less stressed today.

It’s almost as if I’ve resigned myself to what’s happening and so have slowed my pulse and am approaching the matters in a workaday fashion, taking one step at a time, not bubbling with toxic outrage.

I’m trying to take that same tack with what’s happening in this banana republic, and the dictator for which it stands, but that’s proving more difficult, especially when you hear of more “calibration” errors in particular states — all of which coincidentally favor the D’s — as well as instances of people on buses being handed 20 ballots in North Carolina, presumably to push criminal, thief, and liar Kay Hagen over the finish line.

By any measure, this should be a massive wave election. But the timidity of the GOP and the tactics of establishment have soured a lot of conservatives on the party, and in certain states — Kansas, Mississippi — I wouldn’t be surprised if many simply stay home, despite the best efforts of wronged conservative challengers who’ve done the right thing and stepped up, endorsing the establishment jaggoffs, because it is crucial to get Harry Reid out of the Senate leadership role. I’ll call this the Thad Cochran Effect. Racists.

Meanwhile, in Iowa — a women who went to war is being tarnished by Hilary and the Dems as engaged in a war on women. As if Hilary would know what a real one was if she walked into her bedroom one night and sat on her face. Joni Ernst should be able to beat the incumbent Bruce Braley (or is it Baley? And what office is he running for again?) handily. But the slime Democrats throw out to their low information voter base is particularly egregious — and it seems too many women, rather than viewing Ernst as a role model for independent women, instead view her as a danger to their vaginas; while Bruce Braley is the protector of such sensitive parts.

Tomorrow I’ll cast my votes here for Cory Gardner and Bob Beauprez, and on the down-ticket elections go full on conservative. Both Gardner and Beauprez should win — but with the built in 2-3 % fraud factor, and the things we’ve seen going on with voting booths, it’s difficult to feel at all at ease.

After that, I’ll be getting firmly behind the Article 5 movement, making myself a thorn in the side of any legislator who won’t commit to retaking the power given to the states through the Constitution to rein in an overstuffed, omnipresent, and increasingly dangerous and criminal federal government, with its ruling class and its unreachable bureaucracies who make what are in effect laws without voter recourse to give consent.

— After I get some kitchen chairs and see my brother locked away, that is. A guy has to prioritize.

Of course, I only play lotto tickets I find in the gutter.

I can’t afford to contribute at this time. I am no longer a full time employee and must beg or fight for what hours I get. Thanks Obama.
